Pythia Jötunheimr's Arcane Ambassador Curious, Relentless, Calculated In the heart of the Starwood Strand there is a vast clan of glittering Fae. The Fae there live together, fly together, hunt together, do everything as one swarm. Pythia never knew her parents, simply because it would have been impossible to distinguish one dragon from another. The swarm did everything as one, even thought as one, so none of the dragons within had any individuality. Yet one dragon within wondered what the world outside contained. And she realized that just by wondering she could endanger the swarms delicate balance, so for the first time in many years when the hoard of glittering Fae moved toward the next area, one stayed behind. All alone and without identity or knowledge, she set off towards a particularly interesting tree. And she studied this tree, and then she studied another, an then she compared the two. She then studied another tree, and compared it to those that she studied before, and she did this until she had discovered everything there was to know about the Starwood Strand. Then she moved on, this time keeping notes for the others who had shown interest in her studies so they could share in her knowledge. So she kept wandering, thirsty for knowledge, relentlessly studying all manner of natural occurrences, flora, fauna, geological wonders, weather patterns, anything she could see she would study.

For years she gathered information and sent it to those dragons that seemed so excited for some reason whenever she sent them a notebook full of her observations. Pythia had unknowingly become one of the highest regarded scholars in all of Sornieth. Although well known and with more than a few contacts for supplies and information when needed, she felt it unnecessary to keep any friends. The closest to a friend she had would be her assistant and familiar, a Stardust Scholar.

But one day the notebooks stopped coming. A small group of her most dedicated admirers tracked her last known position, but only found a half finished journal with notes about a connection between many world sites where something magical and very arcane could be and she had to find one. But if anyone knew where she went, they would disturb her work before it was complete and draw false conclusions, which would be diabolical.

She chose to represent the Arcane flight for Jötunheimr so that she could study an "anomaly" connected to the lair. Pythia doesn't know what effects it could have, or even what it really is. Regardless, the dragons of Jötunheimr are glad to have someone as knowledgeable as her around, and her scholarly connections opened up many opportunities to grow the clans library and to increase the access to the scholarly dragon community.
