queensguard | feisty | hot-headed | brash [art goes here] Widely regarded as one of the best fighters in the clan, Iskierka has earned an uncontested spot as one of the top soldiers of the Queensguard. Her small size is more than made up for with a fiery, bold personality that dragons either love or detest. More often than not this has gotten her involved in fights, which many believe is deliberate; Iskierka lives for battle and has a hard time grasping the concept of relaxation and downtime. When not training or picking fights, Iskierka often joins some of the other dragons on hunting excursions. Her size makes taking down bigger prey difficult, but that doesn't deter her in the slightest, and the sight of her clinging ferociously to a lumbering beast is great story fodder for the other hunters. Voted most likely to spontaneously burst into flames.

This hardiest of subspecies of the Fae Dragon breed is found on the Black Rock Isles on the southern seaside of the Ashfall Waste. There are two clearly distinctive classes: a large hunter class and a small mage class. They live in large communal lairs that consist of old volcanic vents and large constructed chambers. Each lair has a great hall where the dragons share the spoils of the hunt. Due to the almost complete absence of insects on the Black Rock Isles these dragons hunt on seabirds and preferably marine mammals, which they hunt in large packs. Mostly seals but on occasion on more risky hunts whales are also dragged out of the ocean. And the more bicorn horns and runestones decorate a great hall the more stature the lair enjoys in the Blood Falcon community. The adaptation to this different diet made that these Fae Dragons have greater strength and endurance than their mainland counterparts. They are also capable of diving deeper and longer than normal Fae Dragons and are more salt tolerant. Few Blood Falcons harness magic as the use of magic in hunting is strongly rejected as being dishonorable. There are no objections though in using magic in battles against rival dragon flights. Mages and hunters will both become warriors to defend the domain of the Flamecaller. Though mages tend to be less reckless in battle than the fearless hunters who rely on their healing skills. It is hard to find a hunter who hasn’t got a scar or two to brag about. Mages do play an important role in the community as healers and architects, as it is their magic that is used to construct the chambers and great halls in the hard volcanic rock. Mages are phenotypically different from the hunters. They lack the defensive spines and the broad black bands over the chest. Instead their bodies have a more delicate set of lines and a pattern glowing runes over their hands, feet and flanks from head to tail. Next to the Flamecaller the Blood Falcons Also revere an ancestral mother goddess Eleonora. Who, they believe, was born out of the volcanoes that raised the Black Isles from the sea floor. Many female Blood Falcons are named after her. Blood Falcons will on occasion bond with familiars. Hunters will often choose a fierce flying companion though some are known to form a relation with a member of an aquatic beastclan that can be great allies in a whale hunt. Mages are less selective in their choice, though they have a special liking for familiars with fire and blood like colors.
