Dark magic is a capricious thing, easy to acquire but equally hard to wield. Some dragons spend their entire lives pursuing it, only to fall victim to the corruptive energy. Others choose to seal this magic away, seeing it as something to be observed from a distance, but never touched. Still others, the rare few that don't go mad, acquire complete control over dark magic. Usually, those rare few immediately attempt to use their newfound control to take over the world, and inevitably fail when said magic turns around to bite them back.

And then there's Han.

A necromancer of the Arcane Garden, Han is practiced in the art of weaving magic in ways magic likely shouldn't be woven. Unlike most of the other dragons in his profession, he is more than happy to use his dark magic to help his clanmates. Dark magic does provide some interesting solutions, and equally interesting consequences. Like the time Alethea asked for an additional archive to be added to the library, and ended up with a trans-dimensional room in space with access to every existing library in Sornieth and beyond. Or the time Asuna requested a set of enchanted armor, and was given a suit of chainmail capable of melting through rival lances. Han often appears just as surprised as the rest of his clanmates by what he ends up with, so it's questionable as to how far his understanding of dark magic extends. Whatever the case, as he hasn't made the clan lair go up in smithereens yet, nobody's about to tell him to stop.

Han's dark magic is supplemented with special herbs that he grows in his own private garden. Nobody knows what exactly it is he plants, or if he even plants herbs, as he's created a solid five meter wall of enchanted stone to keep out unwanted intruders. All would agree, though, that whatever it is he tends to, it glows in the dark, casting beautiful shades of blue and purple during the night, and occasionally lets out haunting shrieks whenever someone passes by. This has sufficiently dissuaded other dragons from spending much time around his garden, as ideas of the undead and ghosts are usually enough to terrorize the bravest mage.

Despite his questionable profession and herb garden, Han is a surprisingly easy dragon to get along with. It helps that he doesn't talk much, and so can fit into any conversation as a patient and understanding listener. Most dragons describe him as brooding and shy, while others see him as slightly edgy. This isn't without its reason, though, as he does spend a rather large amount of time lamenting things in a language nobody understands, not even other Coatl dragons. Whatever the case, if his somewhat timid demeanor doesn't convince you he's a friend, his appearance likely well. Being a fluffy pink ball does tend to deter others from thinking he has any connections with dark magic, never mind the strange shadowy tint to his eyes.
