Like most in her profession, Danthienne goes out of her way to maintain an air of mystery. However, she has been with the clan for a while- clan members have pieces together a vague summary of her past from scattered comments she has said over the years.

Danthienne was born in the desert, and the implication is that her family was not well off. Soon after she became of age, Danthienne left home to make her fortune as a traveling psychic. While critics pointed our her predictions were vague, perhaps deliberately to increase the chance of getting a 'hit', she quickly became popular among believers. As her reputation grew, so did her purse; by the time she settled down with the Clan, Danthienne was a wealthy woman.

Danthienne takes pride in her work, and the fact that Amethyst is the Clan Soothsayer is a bitter **** for her to swallow. However, many of her clients are prominent in society and politics abroad; the Council puts her insider knowledge to use when the need arises. While she will always want Amethyst's spot, Danthienne is now content with her role as Spymaster.
