Biography
Mirrist
|
She paced around her nesting grounds. "This is no good! The clan would run much better with me in charge, wouldn't you agree?" Her mate, Mirrest, nodded in agreement, but knew better than to say anything. "That's it! I'm challenging him. Right now!" She found the Tundra-turned-Guardian talking to the clan's Philosopher, Pluto. Something about the GladeKeeper and how the lair had so many dragons. "Tundra!" She growled, flicking her tail, much in the way cats do when they are annoyed. "The Mirrors and I have been talking, this whole place would run better with me in charge!" "I don't doubt your leadership skills at all, however I set this up, and with help from all of you, it is a good home." "This isn't up for negotiation, Tundra. This is a challenge!" And with that she leapt on him, causing him to mis-balance and fall. She pinned his wings to the ground. She was very much aware that the Guardian had twice as much weight and size on her, she knew she wouldn't win fairly. "Mirror, you are being silly. I will not fight you." fallingTundra said, as he shifted his wing, pulling it with ease out from under her. He was still his old Tundra self inside, and as such, wanted to avoid this whole situation. "So you concede?" She shook herself, poised for an attack, but began to relax a little. "I do not." He said his words slowly, carefully picking them, "However, you have proved that you are willing to do what you think is best for our family. You will allow myself and my mate to stay, and - as you have been gracious to stay out of our way, we shall stay out of yours. I would like to be second to you, though. These dragons are friends and family - yes even you - and I still care. I will not leave. But, hear this - should you do anything to put our home in any danger, I will hunt you down, and you will be serving the GladeKeeper sooner than you planned." It wasn't the win she had expected, but it was a win nonetheless. She nodded to him - showing an understanding. She then turned her back and walked away. The Mirrors had some moving to do. 'Leader' of the Mirrors... A viciously quiet dragon. When she does speak, it's usually an insult, or a command. She believes she deserves the role of clan leader, not the Tundra known as fallingTundra. She denies all knowledge of the incident involving a breed change scroll and the aforementioned Tundra... |
