Caeda
the bright founder

Caeda, like Marth, was born not knowing her parents.

But she could guess, of course.

For example, there was no doubt one of them had come from the deserts. It was commonly assumed Light and Lightning, even in their name, were something akin to siblings; their shared pursuit for knowledge named as the most clear proof.

And Caeda did not deny this. But, she noted, she was more analytical than others; particularly as a Mirror, who were not one of the species usually assumed to be all that intelligent. She had met several who were certain of their ancestry, and found similarities - and, of course, she was born near the south of the Lightweaver’s domain.

How funny it was when she compared this to Marth’s past.

Lightning comes like a flash, water is more patient. It was as if their souls had been swapped. Marth was friendly, and though the calmness shone through on some occasions, he was surprisingly social.

Caeda, on the other hand, was quiet and withdrawn. Both Light’s massive amount of knowledge and Lightning’s technological advancement fascinated her, and on the other side of her locked doors it was debated whether it was her attempts at research or her desire not to be seen that kept her inside.

Marth was fascinated with the seas and still had doubts about where his heart belonged, but made up for it with friendliness and kindness. Caeda knew where her heart belonged, and it was as far away from other dragons as possible. Both were almost-outcasts, but not quite. And like any good story, this one, too, would begin with such protagonists.

The intention was never quite for it to become a clan; merely to grant a home to those both like and unlike them. Wanderers in particular found themselves attracted to the proposal, but those who stayed at the meager base were cause to expand it, not entirely as Marth and Caeda had envisioned.

But it was alright.

Dainsleif's Pearl
This pearl always floats around the center of the pool, and in spite of how plain it seems to be, it shines unusually bright. The memory contained within is as follows:
