On the day Chrom came across the Clan, he met, shortly before the two would arrive there together, a Skydancer named Emmeryn.

That the two have influenced each other is clear; mostly in the way Chrom, then a battle-ready Nocturne, is now learning how to interact with other clans in the most peaceful way possible. Of course, Chrom is still far behind Emmeryn, who he now shares a sibling-like bond with, but if there is one thing he does well, it’s trying.

If Emmeryn’s message of peace is not enough, for example, it is the armored Nocturne beside her who needs to merely send over a glare - even though there is very little chance he will actually make an attack - in order to have someone change their mind.

Though he often watches the Winged Order train, he never actively participates. It’s surprising, then, what one can learn from a battle without being in it. For a young and admittedly foolish dragon such as himself, it is difficult to remain on the path he has chosen, but perhaps that is what makes him all the better.

In his interactions with other dragons, Chrom is friendly, though not quite in the same way Emmeryn is: he isn’t quite as immediately lovable, but Chrom is capable of adapting to nearly everyone, playing - as Nocturnes do - to their personalities, so that if there were any cause they’d join, it would be his - whatever it is.
