Berendina

One of the oldest Citadel residents, Berendina is the resident healer and newly appointed Grand Mage, upon the passing of Moelwen. Kind and motherly, she is known for looking after some of the younger dragons and providing guidance when they may feel lost and alone. Her love and care is said to be fused into the baked goods she makes, as many claim her cookies are the best in Sornieth. However, she is not your tried and true kind old Tundra; Her boundless knowlege of the arcane arts leaves dragons either in awe or trembling in fear. The pure energy which can be seen flowing through her body is not just used in simple healing and baking, but also on the battlefield. Although her role is to primarily support the warriors, she has been documented to completely turn the tides of battle by unleashing raw Arcane energy as she transforms into a frightening, alien form dubbed the "Crystalline Lion" by foes. After the great Emperor incident, Berendina was one of the few survivors. She toiled away upon the battlefield, healing the wounded and identifying the fallen. Losing many of her companions, including her mentor and clan founder, Moelwen, the tragedy settled itself into the bones of this hardy tundra. The arrival of Requiem and his sons was met first with hesitance. But as she warmed up to (and even fell in love with) Augustus, memories of life prior seemed to become distant. Though she tries, even the powerful, multi-limbed grasp of the Crystalline Lion can't hold on. But really, isn't life so much better now?
