Yamato

An elegant and graceful dragon of royalty so much like his parents.
He used to be shyer than most of the other Imperials who are notoriously full of confidence, this made him undesirable to be chosen as a reproductive heir, he was undesirable to other clans aswell.
But his beauty (inside and out) struck his clansmates and he was encouraged to stay rather than fledge like his other siblings.
He was soft but something changed in him as he matured and he "ascended" to a higher level of being and continues along this path of grace with age, he has certainly come into his own and has earned great respect among the clan.
He emits a natural warmth and light about him that feels surreal, a trait that becomes only more bright with time.


There is a legend that speaks of koi strong and determined enough to jump and swim up waterfalls rather than going with the easy current of the river, these koi were rewarded by deities for their perseverance by being transformed into dragons~

Supposedly all red grey black white blue and yellow piebald/painted Imperial dragons come from those willful koi who conquered the waterfalls.
