It was fast. Too fast. Iayu could barely keep up with its speed. It took all of her concentration just to dodge when it attacked. Mio wasn't as lucky. Her large body and heavy armour forced her to take hit after hit. Iayu wasn't worried, though - Mio was her matron of darksteel, she wasn't going down any time soon. She just had to... Watch... The two of them had strayed far too far into the Viridian Labyrinth. The Tangled Woods had turned back their third party member, who needed rest, but Iayu and Mio pressed on. It was then that this... Blur of green had attacked them, presumably out of territorial anger. "Stop this! We are not invaders, but curious explorers. We mean you no harm!" Quiet settles over the glade. And then, appearing from the underbrush like a ghost steps forth a Wildclaw, his colours allowing him to blend into the forest with ease. "I could care less about your explorations. This is my land. Begone!" The battle lasted half a day. Mio and Iayu were exhausted but fought off the attacker as best they could. The Wildclaw was strong and fast, and Iayu was impressed despite Mio's disdain. The green blur's attacks were getting more careful and planned, almost testing them as opposed to his blind anger to begin with. Soon, Iayu stood growling over Mio's collapsed body. The Wildclaw steps forth, watching Iayu with curiosity. "You are strong. And valiant. And you protect to the bitter end. Why?" Iayu lifts her chin high, showing off her throat in a sign of respect to the Wildclaw. "Because I will protect my clan. I am its leader, and none shall fall without my permission. My clan values beauty and strength above all else. Death is not an option." The Wildclaw seemed impressed. "A clan such as yours is a clan I am interested in. I can only assume my strength is enough to gain entrance?" Alistair soon become the perfect Nature ambassador for Iayu's clan. His colouration matched his element to the letter, and his sharp wit and powerful capabilities proved invaluable when it came to dealing with dragons from the Viridian Labyrinth. |
