Ragnaros

An old dragon and a veteran of combat, he and his mate Sinestra are invaluable warriors and members of the clan since it's earliest and simplest incarnations. Hailing from the Ashfall Wastes, this critical, world-weary dragon often makes pilgrimages to his homeland for religious holidays.

Punctuating his cool, stoic demeanor is a fierce protectiveness for Storm, Sinestra, and most every other imperial in existence. He is cruelly aware of their condition, and he guards his own life just as zealously to prevent untimely death.

He wields a trident and is cloaked in smooth, complementing steel armor, burnished by quick-forging to a lovely gold color. Previously, the lack of funds and resources forced Ragnaros to fight with minimal armor except what he could cobble together from blacksmithing, and the only weapons he had were his vicious teeth. The aftermath of a battle with a ridgeback cultist left his face and neck gored and pocked with scars and holes; thankfully, golden scales grew back over. He looks a bit funny, but he's alright now.

As a warrior, Ragnaros is lightning-fast, and uses his long, serpentine body to his advantage, coiling and ensnaring his opponents with his body. When unarmed, he uses his jaws over his claws; limbs are for grappling, and teeth are for killing. Disliking long bouts of conflict, he will go straight for the throat. When armed, he aims for any exposed vital regions with his trident and tries to inflict as much damage as possible by spearing in and twisting the wicked, bladed weapon like a screwdriver, blending organs and bones alike.

His breath weapon is used sparingly, as he is untrained in magic and doing so exhausts him. When pushed to his utter limits, his fire can become magma, boiling up from the deepest confines of his magical reserves. After such a strike, or following lengthy and repeated bursts of flame, he will try to end a fight as quickly as possible because the actions exhaust him far quicker than melee combat.

Loyal to a fault and a dark horse in many ways, Ragnaros is content with his position as a metaphorical "side-character"; as long as his mate is happy and his clanmates are safe, the imperial will sleep soundly.
All that haunts him is the knowledge that one day, he, as an imperial, will die for seemingly no reason other than the cold heartlessness of the Lightweaver's design, and that when he does, he will have to be put down a second time by his companions and family, or else slaughter them all.
