Biography
CHAMOMILE
She/Her | Herbalist/Tea Blender
Chamomile is one of the kindest dragons in the clan. She is incredibly caring, almost to a fault, as she has a habit of putting others before herself. She is very optimistic, always believing the best. She is often the first face newcomers see when entering the clan, eagerly welcoming them. Chamomile works as a tea blender and a herbalist.
As a hatchling, she had originally intended to become a healer, wanting nothing more than to help others. When she came of age she took an apprenticeship under her clans healer. She worked hard and was passionate about her work. Despite this, her apprenticeship was short lived. She soon discovered that she had no stomach for blood and the suffering of other dragons. The work simply took too much out of her. She continued to work under the healer, this time as an assistant, and it was there she found her true passion, herbs. She delighted in mixing different plants and creating herbal remedies, and she became quite skilled at it. After all, it was much easier to prepare a bundle of herbs to treat a cough than it was to perform stitches. The tea blending had been an accident, when her clan mates discovered her herb bundles tasted lovely when brewed into drinks. Curious, she began purposely creating blends of of herbs to make tea, which became extremely popular. Eventually, she decided to leave her birth clan and travel to the Viridian Labyrinth, where she hoped to find a greater variety of plants to further her career. She traveled from clan to clan for a while, before coming across the Drakewoods. She found the atmosphere calming, and decided to settle in as a permanent clan member. She was charismatic, and quickly found friends.
Around her den Chamomile began growing a large garden, her pride and joy. She was able to grow a wide variety of plants in the Drakewoods rich soil. She grows all of her herbs herself, and she is always looking to trade and receive new seeds. She adores her garden, and she attributes her relationship with Skye to it. She first met her mate when Skye was admiring her garden. Chamomile was quite surprised when she left her den and came face to face to the most beautiful dragon she had ever seen. The two caught on right away, and after a lot of bad flirting and excuses to visit one another, the two became mates. They make a great pair, and there is no doubting their love. They are incredibly sappy and affectionate, each caring deeply for the other. They both care for a colony of bees, something Skye had sought after since she was a hatchling. The honey makes a great addition to Chamomile's teas, and the bees do well to pollinate both of their gardens, which have really grown into one large patch at this point. Maria, the clans resident candlemaker, has free pick of the beeswax, in exchange for as many candles as the two dragons would ever need.
Chamomile is well known among the clan's allies, both for her kindness and for the quality of her creations. Her herbal remedies and teas are popular trading items. Additionally, her and Skye both offer up jars of honey for sale.
