.. Shadow was one of the few unique non-water dragons who had prophetic abilities and he had an affinity for mainly seeing different paths of the future. It was a rather taxing gift because while he could see far into the future and various paths, but he himself had no idea how to reach any of the paths. That was the only part of it that was obscured and blurry to him – which he put down to him being a prophetic shadow dragon.

He was slightly skittish about being close with other dragons, but a dragon had come along and stolen his heart at one point, a pretty nocturne called Pies. She was pretty and had seduced him with her natural charm and he had fallen in love with her pretty quickly. She had introduced him to her clan and he had settled there – Clan Summer Breeze – with her. It was a happy and light hearted clan and many praised him for his rare prophetic powers. He even gave a few nice dragons a gaze into a prospective future, though he was extremely wary what dragons he gave such an insight.

In his home lair many people had preyed upon his nice nature and manipulated him into telling them their future – some even getting angry with him once he saw their bleak path. He had been physically ejected out of his home lair for it, and was really wary to let any dragons know their futures now. He didn’t want to go through such a nightmare again. He had settled here and was perfectly happy here. So he mostly kept his powers to himself – unless it was to the occasionally friendly dragon or even on himself, he found it fun to see the many paths of his future, they were all happy and uplifting – unless it was incredibly important for the wellbeing of the clan.

It wasn’t long until he until he kept his powers to himself besides telling the clan leaders anything important – because he had hurt himself in the process. He had been with his mate, Pies, when he had saw a path for her future and she had asked and he told her. It wasn’t a happy one, it was bleak and devoid of love and she hated him for it. He tried to warn her – that maybe this was what kick started the path – but she refused to listen and left him. They were no longer mates and Shadow was devastated.

He mostly was just existing in the lair now. He barely had the job of prophet because his powers was only for himself and the clan leaders now, but it was still his role in the clan. He was still trying to get over the fact Pies had left him because of his visions, but he was slowing healing. He often let himself think of a mate he could have in the future, who would accept him and just disregard anything he saw about them and continue to love him.
