Biography

THE MARBLE ARCHIVES

The Marble Archives is a magically-expanding library (and townhall) constructed from marble. Every year the interior of the building grows outward; the shelves push the roof skyward and the ground cracks as it's strained, new halls and rooms are formed, already full with living accommodations. Every time this happens, a new tome can be expected to form on the grown shelves. This process is know as the Expansion. The contents of these books can contain incredibly important knowledge, be completely useless, or entirely unintelligible; but no matter what, it will be left on the shelves of the great library.

Tourists are not always permitted to watch the Expansion, do not plan your vacation around the Expansion unless you're ready to be disappointed!

The archives themselves and some of the books within are older than any modern draconic society, this makes it difficult to know who built the archives and wrote the books... if any one did at all. Many theories about this have been proposed, but none are considered substantiated and most scholars believe the answer to be hidden within the library's shelves.

It was once thought a dragon from the Shadows could never enter the premises of the Marble Archives, Pamphlet set this notion to rest.
