Rorsarch has been important to the Den since it was founded. He had previously lived in an Arcane clan, and had come to the Viridian Labyrinth in search of medicinal herbs. On his outing, he found Visellia in the forest, newly hatched and defenseless. He carried her with the intention of taking her back to his clan. Before he could get out of the dense woods to fly back to the Starfall Isles, he stumbled into Sunset and Daybreak's territory. After a brief confrontation with Sunset, Rorsarch made fast friends with the Guardians. He gave them the idea do start an actual clan, and left the little Pearlcatcher in their care.

Rorsarch went back to his clan after that encounter, but would later come back to join the Den. He is the Den's medic, a job he learned from the three doctors from his previous clan. He is well-versed in both magical and more scientific healing.

Most everyone in the clan has a deep friendship with Rorsarch. He seems to have a knack for quickly bonding with any dragon. 		Gentle Healer's Reference
