"It's like none of ya got a sense a humor!" The son of a witch and a former leader of an allied clan, he inherited none of his mother's magic but all of his father's laxness. Vagabond comes and goes so much that for a while it was up for debate if he's actually a member of the Den. But he has an amber nest on the tallest tree in the territory, and comes by at least a few times a day to nosh on whatever delicious dish of insects that Leayon has cooked up. He is the clan's courier, bringing letters and parcels to and from the rest of the world. While he isn't exactly bad at it, he doesn't put his best effort into his job. To him, it's an excuse to just fly around, going wherever he pleases. If the address on the letter just happens to be on the way, great. Correspondences will sometimes arrive days late as he was busy slacking off He doesn't take anything seriously, including most other dragons. The exceptions are those that intimidate him, such as the clan warriors, Sunset, and Daybreak (Vagabond has seen Daybreak when he was angry, he never wants to see that again). He'll only really do his job well when one of those dragons tells him to do so. He often butts heads with the rest of the clan, especially with Legerdemain, who is frequently incredibly frustrated by the late delivery and arrival of correspondences that seem to be very, very important. He is good friends with Agate, and while Vagabond occasionally pulls some practical jokes on the guard, Agate is one of the few dragons that seems to not just tolerate, but appreciate Vagabond's presence. Vagabond cherishes their friendship deeply. Though they had had their spats in the past, Vagabond had developed quite a crush on Tempest. He had taken to flirting with the Skydancer, outwardly seeming confident but inwardly hoping he wasn't being too forward. For once in his life, he wanted to do something with tact. They started spending more time together, and Vagabond realized that he just adored how caring Tempest is to the hatchlings and his friends. Vagabond is now happy to say that Tempest is his soulmate. |
