"Welcome to Mothden!...Erm, I mean, HALT!" Agate used to aimlessly wander Dragonhome day in and day out. It's not that he was bored per se...alright, he was pretty bored. The unchanging landscape of cracked earth was just too dull for him to handle. He made friends with a Fae named Vagabond who would occasionally swing by on his way to do deliveries for his clan. Eventually, Vagabond convinced Agate to come to the clan for a change of scenery. Agate did, and decided he liked the ever changing and growing nature of...nature. Being a strong, hearty dragon who never has to sleep by virtue of his breed, Sunset asked Agate to join her on guard duty, to which he happily agreed. There are times that Sunset feels he is more absentminded than she'd prefer, but overall she's grateful for his help. Agate is quite friendly, perhaps to a fault. However, this proves a boon to well-meaning strangers, as he balances out Sunset's immediate hostility to any unexpected visitors. He's a bit clueless, and even though he's helping to guard all of them, a good number of dragons in the clan feel they have to protect him from anyone who would do him wrong. Occasionally that includes Vagabond, who enjoys playing pranks on the unsuspecting Snapper. Vagabond only does it in good humor, though- he immediately stops as soon as Agate stops finding them funny. |
