ChesterJester embarked on a trip across Sorneith during Brightshine Jubilee 2020 from June 21 to June 27. He is one of many who are traveling to various lairs and clans in the hopes of spreading love and joy to those they encounter. When it's over, they'll be able to look back at the adventures they had and dragons they met and remember the journey they went on.

ChesterJester is one of the more well-known, yet somehow still mysterious members of Florum Familia. No one knows where he came from or how he got here, but they do know he is not a force to be trifled with. God-like powers bestowed upon none other than a goofball menace, Jester wanders around handing out flowers to those in the clan he wants to make a deal with. Said deals often lead to problems being solved, from tiny bickers to more serious crimes swept under the rug, however no one really knows the cost paid for such feats. Those who bear a Jester flower often have dark secrets that they cannot share (for risk of a dire consequence), and most know better than to ask. Jester never breaks his word of secrecy, after all, so why should they?

Day One: SOCKMONKEYGERALD, #266129
___
t36JaBz.png ChesterJester arrived at the Wanderin lair to find it teeming with dragons busy with some great organizational effort for the Windsinger, but the first few stopped were all happy to accept a sunflower bouquet. He hadn't been there long before a skydancer with brightly-patterned wings hurried up to him, crest feathers ruffled in excitement.
"I love your body art! It's so stunning, who's your artist? Do you think mine could have a look at it, see if he can get the trick of that glow effect, oh please? Surely you've got just a moment?"

"Never seen the paint that could match my hide," the Jester chuckled, but there was the rest of the day left before he had to move on, so he spent it chatting with the clan body painter, who eventually called in two fae alchemists, one a pigment maker and the other a specialist in luminescence.

A glowing paint the equal to the Jester was a failure (but the body painter's technique improved after that meeting regardless). The only result was an incident which the faes professionally referred to as "an oops" that involved their cauldron's contents spitting up all over the bundles of sunflowers the Jester had yet to deliver.

The faes apologized, their frills chagrined. ChesterJester assured them there was nothing to forgive and made his farewells before he packed up to head back toward Light territory and the next clan on his list.
After all, sunflowers weren't his favorites, but now that their formerly-yellow petals had picked up his vibrant rainbow hue they did make striking Jester flowers. Handing out the rest of them promised to be fun.

Day Two: MINTEA00, #475171
It seemed all was well and sunny on Sundial Terrace when ChesterJester arrived. The skies were blue and cloudless, the birds were chattering aimlessly in the hot summer air, and the leaves rustled their brilliant green hues. ChesterJester wasn't really sure whether or not he was expected to make the first greeting; but doing so was not in his nature and there didn't seem to be any clear hints indicating that he should. It was a bit unnerving, honestly, even to a man of many secrets like himself. Every step of the way, he expected a dragon or, some living creature, to jump out at him; he even fancied at some points that he was being spied on. Perhaps the dragons were all hiding from where ever one may hide in a flat bed of stones and ruins and pillars and silently judging and watching him.

Slowly, he made his way to the blooming meadows towards the edge of the lands. He could see the sunflowers blooming, their golden leaves extending upwards and their cradles homes to droves of bees and hummingbirds. He wanted to be among something familiar, at least, in this strange apparently-dragon-less land. Having decided upon a spot in the field, he conjured his sunflower shaped cushion and settled down comfortably. Reaching into his briefcase, he took out a book that he had brought along for the trip; it was fairly dusty, as he had expected to be making contact and conversation rather than keep to himself. But what could he do? There was no one in sight.

After a few hours of reading, the feeling of being watched returned stronger than ever before. At one point, ChesterJester even felt his spines tingling. Slamming his book shut, he whirled around wildly, trying to catch a glimpse of the intruder. However, there was none to be seen. Shaken, he picked up his book again, but he didn't even get through 10 pages before a velvety, soft sound hissed from below him, "My my...what have we here...not very attentive to your surroundings, eh, Mr. ChesterJester?" ChesterJester jumped and was about to fly away, only to realize that something -- something HUGE--- had latched onto the base of his tail.
"Why are you in such a hurry?" the voice hissed, this time with a glint of dark humor and perhaps, warning? "Are you not here, to--work your magik on the unassuming residents of Sundial Terrace, this sunflower growing, light shining, peaceful realm?"
ChesterJester, who could not see very well in the darkness and also through his struggle to free himself from the strong hold, stammered,"no-oonoo what do you meann?"
"Don't pretend to hide; you are always watched here." The silky voice replied. "Be careful of what you say and what you do." With those ominous last words, the mysterious being disappeared and ChesterJester, now able to move again, hastily packed his belongings and left, determined to not return.

Day Three: CHROMATOGRAPHIC, #63518
H1E5rj5.jpg
The sign rose overhead as you met your next destination amid the sunflower fields. Looking around, you see it’s in the entrance to a very large clearing surrounded by the blooms, studded with dragons of all types, but mostly Wildclaws.

“My, aren’t you a bright one!” a male voice nearby exclaimed, “You must be our visitor today!”

You find yourself face to face with a pearlcatcher who introduces himself as Uritca, and his mate, Ferox.

“Yes, you’re a brilliant one, aren’t you?” Ferox adds. “You stand out even amid all my roses!”
You smile, as you love your colors. Looking around, you see that beyond the sunflowers, the festival area is absolutely decked in roses of many colors and types.

Ferox notices and smiles, “Yes, my work. I’m a gardener, and we’ve been preparing for Brightshine for weeks!”

The two of you find yourself discussing all types of flowers as Uritca looks on at his mate with an indulgent smile.

“Oh, Ferox! Let’s go to the stage, Vitalia’s show is starting,” he says after a while.

You find yourself watching a Wildclaw practice card tricks on stage while her gloomwillow guide provides comedic relief, often disrupting the tricks themselves. There is much laughter that day, and you find yourself at peace.

Day Four: JAYKATT, #272749

The day was glimmering and bright when ChesterJester arrived at The Radiant Thunder. As they had been all week, the small clan residing within the Light terrain was full of activity. Jester was clutching his now... oddly colored sunflowers. "Hello! You must be here to deliver our sunflowers today!" A Tundra dragon spoke as he approached. A look of confusion briefly crossed his face when he spotted the strange colors on the sunflowers, "Though they don't look much like normal sunflowers..." Jester gave a soft laugh and nodded. "Yeah, had a bit of a mishap at the first clan I visited... But don't worry, they are still genuine sunflowers!" he assured the Tundra, "My name is ChesterJester, but you can call me Jester." The Tundra nodded, smiling slightly, "I'm Nilam, nice to meet you. Hm... Perhaps Stav would enjoy these flowers the most. He's over there." He turned to point toward a somewhat small building, "Would you mind bringing them to him?"

Jester agreed and set off toward the indicated building, his thin head poking inside before he slithered his entire form in. It was cluttered with all sorts of scraps of metal, gears, and other strange contraptions. A Fae was flittering about, goggles resting on his head as he sorted through the objects in the room. He seemed to be looking for something specific... "Hello!" Jester greeted, making Stav jump and whirl around. A high pitched humming sound came from the dragon and his face frills stuck out in a defensive manner. Jester quickly held up the flowers, "Sorry for disturbing you! I'm here to deliver sunflowers, and uh... Nilam suggested I bring these to you, since they've got a bit of an odd color now," he explained. Stav seemed to relax, his head tilting a bit. He fluttered over and gave a soft click of his tongue before taking the flowers from his hands and gliding back over toward his work station.

Jester wasn't sure what to do now, aside from awkwardly hover there. The Fae seemed rather focused on his work and hadn't even spoken a word... "Oh here you are!" Jester turned to see a female Fae fluttering into the room, "You're Jester, yes? I'm Hotaru! Nilam had mentioned he directed you here alone, so I figured I would come to... interpret!" Jester tilted his head slightly, "Interpret?" he questioned, casting a glance toward Stav. He hadn't acknowledged Hotaru entering, and instead had moved his goggles down over his eyes as he started using magic to weld some things together. "Yes! Stav isn't just bad at expressing emotions like most Fae dragons, he's also mute. He has a way of communicating, but newcomers such as yourself wouldn't have any idea what he's trying to say," Hotaru explained with a soft giggle. Stav paused for a moment to glance up, a soft hum escaping him, before returning to his work.

Jester and Hotaru chatted for a while before Stav approached, holding out a glass orb, with a flat metal bottom. It had one of the oddly colored sunflowers inside, suspended through the use of his magic. "How lovely!" Hotaru gushed, making Stav smile. Jester nodded in agreement and Stav set off to make a few more. Once he was finished, Jester offered to help as the Fae headed out to set out the lovely new decorations. They set them up in all sorts of places, the more blue-ish color of them complimenting the golden shine of the other decorations that covered just about everything. The sun had begun to sink by the time they were finished, and the orbs they set out helped to add a lovely glow inside the area. Jester agreed to join Stav and Hotaru as their clan's feast began. The night was spent with laughter and good food, and Jester enjoyed spending his time with these interesting dragons.

Once it was time for him to leave, Stav and Hotaru gifted him a few items to remember his trip by, as well as some of the leftover delicious food to eat on his way to the next clan. Jester thanked them greatly, and set off to his next destination.

The breeze swirls around you as you set food into the lush green steppes.

"Oh! You must be Paradise. I'm Ostria. This way, we've been waiting for you!" a spiral giggles as she led you deeper and deeper into a bamboo forest. A flutter of birds frolick past, and beautiful tunes float in the air as you advance. Soon, you shift your gaze upwards and are amazed to see a magnificent palace. Not too massive, but the zephyr colour scheme and touches of glitter soothe your eyes. The spiral then gestures upwards to the many wind balloons bobbing about above, each attached to a corner of the palace with colourful streamers. Glancing around, you note that the hustle and bustle of dragon activity within all the cluster of bamboo surrounding the palace. The spiral smiles and nods. "Welcome to Melodies Whirling! Enjoy your stay here. Be sure to explore the entire clan, I'm sure everyone is more than excited to host a visitor." With that, she leaves with a little jingle of the bells on her satchels.

Day Seven: gn0me

Chester arrived at the next clan where the place was abuzz with action.

This clan seemed to not be celebrating so much as being industriously active.

They were training a bunch of Spirals, so he figured "When in Rome..." and after ascertaining that he wouldn't be hustled off along with the exaltees he set his mettle against the opponents in the coliseum.

All of a sudden his time was at an end, he bid farewell to the clan and headed home for a well deserved rest and to tell his clanmates all he had experienced on his journey across the realms.
