Marimba is a certified himbo. There's no other way to describe him, and I'm sorry. It's not that he isn't smart, it's just that he has no common sense whatsoever. This is a man who tried to eat an entire pufferfish without de-toxifying it, and then claiming that whatever poison he ended up getting could surely be fixed with a Cleansing Tonic. Which isn't entirely wrong, but also, don't encourage people. He's also inclined towards theatrics, which can alarm some of the more nervous dragons in the clan. Like, Marimba has a habit of hiding in the vault and sobbing about the minor inconvenience that he received today, usually having to do with some kind of Coliseum escapade. He'll sob and sob about how oh no, a Depin got a SCRATCH on him look at how this ruined his outfit. The fun thing is that a Depin scratching literally anyone else in the clan would probably be cause for serious medical concern, but because it's Marimba it's no big deal. All that said, Marimba is well aware of how he comes across, and how people tend not to take him seriously - and that's sort of the point. In being relatable and over-the-top funny, others feel less intimidated around him. The absolute last thing he wants is for others to feel nervous or think that he's super competent and professional just because he's the oldest dragon in the clan, because really he's just trying his best, too. Basically he's got stupid uncle energies and we love that for him. |
