Daemon, a young noble, once fell in love with a great beauty. She was his everything. She introduced him to another male, who asked if Daemon wanted to join his "family," a group dedicated to protecting the people. He agreed, and life was great. They protected the citizens of their town from countless dangers. The beauty loved the family, and so Daemon loved it, too. But then, during an attack from a rival group, she died. Daemon blamed his boss for not doing anything to protect her, blamed him for being weak. It was then that he swore to make the family stronger. Ruthless. He did it for her sake, and the family`s sake. He wasn`t going to let more innocent people die, unlike that pacifist of a boss. So he eventually made the boss step down, and the rest of the family left with him. Daemon built up a new family, a merciless one. But it wasn`t quite what he had wanted. But he was growing older. He needed to live if he was going to see the family he truly wanted. So he used his special powers to remove his soul from his body, and put himself inside the body of another. And so he did this over and over, until he reached the present day. The current generation of the family reminded him so much of the first, and it angered him. He wasn`t going to let that happen again. So he came up with a plan to destroy them, using another family as pawns and twisting their minds until they had nothing but hatred for these children. And the final piece of the puzzle was using the body of one of his targets, a body locked away. All he had to do was lure that soul out. And he succeeded. The body was his for the taking, and came with some rather interesting abilities, now at his disposal. But the new family was strong. Stronger than he could have imagined, or even believed. He lost. How could he face her now in the afterlife, when he failed to make the family strong? He wasn`t able to protect her. She would surely blame him. Surely... |
