The Alchemist
Sold off for treasure as a hatchling by his birth parents, Zoniventis was summarily purchased by a warlord Ridgeback of meager renown, making him the third member of her prospective clan. Raised by his 'mother', Yolstrunmah, and her abrasive servant, Voltwrath - both capable warriors forged in the Coliseum - Zoniventis grapples with feelings of inadequacy, often wondering if he is doing enough to support his foster mother's ambitions. Altogether physically underwhelming, Zoniventis found himself drawn to the pursuit of alchemy at a young age, discovering a knack for the creation of volatile and deadly concoctions.

Through his alchemy, Zoniventis believes he has earned a place at Yolstrunmah's side. He buries his self-doubt in his work, striving to develop new toxins and acids to use as weapons against his mother's enemies. His poison laces the metal of his mother's sword, as well as Voltwrath's claws. Lately his dedication has spiraled into obsession, as he attempts more and more unconventional combinations of materials, often with dangerous results...
