~~Narcrath, the Knight~~
Ares of the Two Faces
Tremble not, for your purpose in this realm is much smaller than that of the deities plans for you.

Before he was stolen away, Narcrath was just a young spiral with big dreams. He wanted to be a knight when he grew up, someone truly worthy of fighting in the name if the Windsinger. Every day he would go out to the training fields with a small, sharpened stick and battle the smaller beasts. Leafy moths were his favorite, as he particularly liked munching on their legs once he'd defeated them. It was a cozy life, that was for sure. But he was soon to learn that good things do not last.

On the night he was kidnapped, Narcrath was whisked away to places unknown. However, the energy in the air was thick and ominous, and the further the unknown caravan traveled the more scared the small spiral became. It was once he was finally dumped at the alter of his new home that he knew his life had changed forever. He was to be a knight for sure, but to a much more sinister deity; the Shadowbinder was not known for its kindness and the thought of serving Her made his stomach turn. He rebelled and fought against the other dragons, but was eventually made to fight along side another scared girl by the name of Eve. The two heavily relied on each other through the coming years. When he could not be yanked from his housing to fight, he was starved and left to the elements. They stripped him of his Wind name and gave him a much darker one; Ares. The God of war. He hated his new name with a passion. It was from the stress of this lifestyle that he developed a change.

One day, the clan found that Ares had ventured into the field with Eve all on his own. They watched in fascination as he struck down enemies with a long-sword that he had collected from the armory sometime during the night. He fought with such grace that some would have never suspected that the timid Narcroth and Ares were the same dragon. Joy spread through the clan as the young dragon finally succumbed to his fate as Knight of the Shadow Binder. However, this was not entirely the case.

Ares was like night and day. He was either Narcroth, the timid, stubborn dragon who rebelled against the shadows, or Ares, the God of War they'd named him and trained him to be. One single dragon had become two completely separate entities, and neither was aware of the others existence. This frightened the clan, and so they kept distance from him save for his partner Eve, who respected both halves of the spiral. After all, she had no issues with someone as long as they fought beside her; which deity they were aligned to meant nothing to her. Together, the two grew, their strengths intertwining into one deadly force that threatened even the carefullest of dragons' hatchlings.
