Mycena

The sun had long set and hatchlings were just only put to bed when something eerie began to sound out through the clan. At first the noise was far off, causing no more but a twitch of dragon's ears in the general direction of the wastelands. But soon it became impossible to ignore. The clan tittered nervously as the sound grew louder and louder. What could it be?

A roar rang out across the lair as a grotesque skydancer's head rose into sight, only to be completely engulfed in thousands of scuttling legs and bodies of insects that rushed over her and into the land. Several dragons shrieked at finding the floor covered in insects, but just as quickly as they'd been writhing and scuttling over everything they suddenly fell still and died, becoming little more than food to the disturbed dragons. Though they searched, the skydancer was nowhere to be found.

Was it a blessing, or a curse?
