Biography
|
As the sun goes down and the shadows engulf the land, you are reminded of how tired you are from your journey.
Should you rest? The magic energies around this part of the Star Wood Strand - so close to The Scarred Wasteland - are nothing to laugh at. You have heard of non-Arcane dragons becoming disoriented and lost, some even crashing, never to be seen again. Some not only losing their way, but their minds and memories with it. This is not the place to rest; you must keep going. As the hours advance, your eyes start to close without your permission. Your mind and body start screaming for rest. There is no use; you have to stop. In the distance, you can see a clearing. It is not too big, but it is enough for just this night. You make sure to get as comfortable as possible - a true feat in this strange place - and you close your eyes and let the sleep claim you, ignoring all the little noises that remind you that this is not home. The next thing you know is that someone is coming. It is still night. You don't know how much you actually slept, but you can clearly hear that someone is coming, and they are not a Fae. You open your eyes desperately, looking for your visitor. You shout in terror. Mere millimeters away from your face there is a bright pink eye staring at you. Even in your groggy state, you jump as far as you can from the stranger, who finds this hilarious and starts to laugh hysterically. It's so loud that surely every dragon in Sornieth has heard it. With the little light that the night sky produces, you can only tell that this dragon is an Imperial. Certainly not one of the bigger ones you have seen, but still impressive none the less. It takes a while for them to calm down. They ask you what you are doing here. Your only response is to stare at them, which they obviously think is hilarious as they start to snicker again. This time they easily stop themselves from laughing out loud. They tell you that this is the worst place you could have chosen to rest; the Beastclans are not too far away. They also mention that you can call them “Re”, and that you can come to rest to their lair, as it's not that far away from here. You ponder over the offer. Re only stares at you with bright pink eyes that, for a moment, you swear glow. Is never a good idea to just follow some strange dragon you just met in the middle of a forest, but they seem nice enough. Plus, being alone near the Beastclans is anything but fun. You accept Re's offer, and they smile at you before guiding you to the place they call home, with eyes full of excitment. You never got back home. Those who once called you friend never knew what happened to you. Neither did you. |
