 B I O G R A P H Y
The really weird thing about Evander, though, is his eyes. While multi-gaze is common knowledge by this point, Evander still has way more eyes than is natural even for Spirals, and as realistic as all of them seem Evander is also absolutely the type to pretend to have more eyes than he actually has to freak everybody out. The jury is currently out, because Evander has artfully dodged the question every time by either pretending to pass out on the spot or fleeing the room ""inconspicuously."" The jury is doubly out on whether this is actually because he doesn't want to answer the question or because he wants to play up the mystery. 'Who knows with Evander?' is practically a band motto at this point. That said, Evander has been with the Tempest Band since its founding, and he has a tendency to hide his real ability behind ostentatiousness... After all, as anyone who's ever crossed one of the band will say, and as nobody will believe them, his magic is absolutely not just sleight of hand. Really, if he wanted to, he could probably do a lot better than the Tempest Band-though the question of 'why doesn't he' will likely just end up rotting in the pile of enigmas relating to this particular Spiral.
