Izar can usually be found either tending her herb garden with her brother, or performing some sort of spell. She always has simple herbal or magical remedies to whatever ails her patient, and has never failed to cure someone. Despite her young age compared to the Founders, she is well respected among the older dragons, though hatchlings are usually a little scared of her (mostly because whenever they get near her she utters a quick spell to make spooky smoke and laughs evilly). She desperately wants a student (besides Ketu because... he's Ketu) to pass on her craft to, and is considering mentoring Lavanda. However much she loves her niece, Lav's constant puns do become extremely annoying.

Izar comes from a family with a legacy of being horrible wizards with horrible personalities to match. Izar is the first of the line to actually have strong magical abilities in a long time, her closest magically inclined relative being a Guardian named Metropolis (Beetle's mother). As she grew up and realized how terrible her family was, she dragged her brother to a new clan a distant relative (Beetle) was starting. Unfortunately, this new clan became closely tied to the clan full of relatives she had tried to get rid of. And thus, her dream was crushed as a few morally-gray dragons with their classic dark secondary and yellow tertiary welcomed themselves into the clan. Izar's parents, Eleanor and Cosimo, never come to visit the only two of their children they even know are alive still. Eleanor now at least acknowledges Izar's existence (not Ketu tho rip), but honestly Izar would prefer it if she just forgot. Izar likes to think of herself as a better person than most of her family, but she's still quite selfish, antisocial, and rude, but not so much as to actually hurt a clanmate's feelings.
