BAD FIRST DRAFT OF LORE LETS GOOOO Meringue is the child of an angel, and as a result he has a glowing personality and only inherited a few extra eyes and wings. He has a body just like any mortal, but softly glows in pink, yellow, and green hues, which change depending on his mood. He loves flying above the smog of the Ashfall Waste, where the air is clear and the golden sunlight can catch on his shining wings. Meri settled in the Soot Snout lair because it was just at the edge of the Windswept Plateau, outside of his home realm but not to far from his birth clan. He also enjoys how many dragons in the clan are also lovers and nurturers of nature. Meri has blessed, holy magic running through his blood, and anything he touches will grow with great health and bear many fruits, and have the golden shimmer of pure sunlight under its skin. He loves going around the many gardens and forested hollows in the Soot Snout lair, the plants leaning in towards his blessed light as he walks by. He gives everything his breath of life, making all the plants in the lair bloom bountifully and fruit year-round. Meri has the most primal magic running through his veins of any in the clan (save Ikarios), but he is not prideful of it, and humbly gives his blessing to any who need it. All magically-inclined dragons in the lair can sense the pure power radiating from the Wildclaw, and both admire and fear him, with good reason. Morelle is outright terrified of him, fearing he'll know her many sins and deliver divine justice. Meri doesn't hold grudges or dislike people, but the clan got a demonstration of a small amount of his immense power when Dereg foolishly snagged an eclair from right under Meri's nose. The whole ordeal was rather messy, Pride nearly got exorcised out of existence by all the holy energy flying about, and everyone else got their ears hurt by all the screaming. Meri has few vices and many virtues, but the most prominent of his vices is his ravenous appetite for all things sweet. He's become close friends with Chai, but probably only to get first picks on the pastries and desserts the Coatl makes. He has no need to eat, but is quite the glutton when it comes to anything creamy and sweet.
