Daphne left her clan in the Ruins seeking adventure, crossed a sea, then got distracted and moved into the nearest lair. The clan was very surprised but welcoming, and not at all deterred by her strange hums and chirps. Beetle quickly took a liking to the odd coatl, and gave her a lovely cave near the mouth of the lair to store her vast collection of small sparkly objects. When focused, she gets completely engaged in her task and will quietly work until she gets hungry or falls asleep. Daphne has always had a hard time communicating to other dragons, as she's only really fluent in coatl humming. She usually gains a clanmate's friendship through small gifts and friendly smiles. The only one who really seems to be able to talk to her is Chai, as he is the only other one in the lair who is fluent in native coatl tongue. He has tried teaching her the common tongue, but she's far too distracted daydreaming to learn anything. Despite barely being able to communicate with her clanmates, she is one of the most social dragons in the clan. She always greets clanmates with an affectionate chirp, and keeps them company until she sees another clanmate who seems lonely or down. When not working on something, she will wander about the lair humming softly to herself until she sees a clanmate in need. She doesn't really have a particular job in the clan, but ensures that everyone is well. She's the clans' little ray of sunshine.
