When the Pillar shattered, there was more devastation than any knew. The Arcanist’s actions had fractured the very sky, leaving glittering fragments scattered across the ravaged earth. Still alight with the arcane energy that had been expended, they gleamed when the Lightweaver awoke, absorbing sunlight and her reflection.

As the rising sun warmed the sky’s broken pieces, they began to shift, to take shape and to shake themselves free of the shining dust that remained on their tiny bodies. With the energies of the Eleven shifting through the air, the Nut Ushabti were born from the fragments of the sky brought down by the Arcanist and the light of the Lightweaver.

With the other newly created dragonkind, the Nut Ushabti sought out territories and established themselves in the Hewn City as guardians of certain tombs and secrets. Their natural glow allows them to venture into depths of darkness without aid, and no tomb, no cavern holds air too foul or stale for the Nut Ushabti.
