Biography

Loyalty to the summoner
May I be the one who is followed by a path of pain

The young Cerberus opened his eyes, and the first thing he noticed was the world was so bright. The trees, the grass, the sun. It was so full of light and hope, the opposite of his home world. He gave a small shudder, and then looked up to see a dragon standing in front of him.
He was looking at him with amazement, as if he had never seen one of his kind before. (The truth was, he hadn’t.)
“Yes!” He hollered, pumping her wings hard and fast. “I did it! I finally did it!”
He regained composure and looking at the young Cerberus with care and a hint of fear.
“Hello there, young one.” He said. “My name is Ionis. What’s yours?”
“Well,” he muttered, “I’ve never really had a name before. My family just called me Weakling.” Horrible memories flashed through his mind, hard and unforgiving.
He could tell that Ionis noticed, and was trying to ignore the fact that he had.
“Wow!” He giggled, trying to change the subject. “I can’t believe that’s true, because you look fierce!”
The Cerberus blushed slightly. No one had ever complimented him before.
He turned in a circle with her tongue sticking out ever so slightly. “How about we name you Cursic?”
“I like that.” The now named Cursic replied.
“You’re welcome!” He beamed, seeming proud of himself.
Without thinking, Cursic began to speak.
“Thank you,” He murmured, soft and caring. “For taking me out of my home world.”
“Why?” He asked.
“Because it was a horrible place there.” Cursic whispered, and the memories came again. His brother and sisters, relentlessly hurting him. His parents, telling him that he would never amount to anything. And the war, laying carnage all around the small area where he once lived. He shuddered where he stood.
Just then, Ionis came up to him and embraced him, and new feelings flooded through him. Joy, excitement and love.
He looked up at Ionis with an amazed expression on his face, and he smiled at him.
“I’m a Summoner.” he explained. “It means that I’m great at interacting with animals. Now, come on! You’ve got a new life to live now that you’re here!” And with that, he skipped off deeper into the forest.
Cursic gave a small smile, the first one he had mustered in a long time. Then, he trudged off in the direction that Ionis had headed as fast as he could. He couldn’t wait for his new life to begin.

Ionis was just a puppy... really.

He was too young to fend for himself, and with the loss of his tribe he was basically doomed.

'If not for me...' Cursic thought, carrying the young wildclaw away from the smoke and flames- holding him by the skin of his neck as the young dragon thrashed about in both rage and sorrow, wanting to right what had been wronged.

The cerberus barely cared for the other dragons of the ice tribe, only having known them for a few weeks before... this happened.

Once Cursic was sure they were safe, he dropped the young wildclaw and curled around him in an efford to keep both himself and the small dragon warm.

Ionis was having none of it though.

"GET OFF OF ME!" The wildclaw screeched, and Cursic obeyed in silence, feeling as if he was about to be scolded for something.

"STAY!" the small wildclaw shouted, before turning and running away.

Cursic wanted to follow, but feared what would happen if he did. He sat up, eyes not leaving the direction Ionis had ran to. He- He'd come back right?!

Day turned to night, and the wildclaw indeed returned- tired and sad. Wordlessly he curled up at Cursic's side, and wordlessly the cerberus curled around his summoner.

Neither one of the two spoke for weeks...
