Water Flight Subspecies: SunDune Fae |
On seldom occasions, when the weather is just right, and the ocean breeze is blowing in your favor, these tiny dragons might be spotted playing in the tall grasses cresting the sand dunes along the shore lines. They also favor the crevices and caves of rockier shores, but no one is so lucky to witness them in those places.
Their wings resemble the weather that they favor, camouflaging well to suit their zippy flight antics while their suede-like pelts match closely to the terrain and flora of their home regions.
An agile and playful breed, they spend an enigmatic amount of time chasing each other, play fighting, and engaging in feline-like prowling in the tall grasses they so much adore. The rest of the time, between eating, sleeping, and maintaining their tight family bonds, these fae use their adapted building sap to adorn favorite plants, shells, driftwood, and rocks with amber-like gems formed of the same sap they line their secretive homes with.
If one isn’t lucky enough to see the actual dragons, they will know they’re close by the myriad of ornate, sparkling decorations of amber-like “dew” adorning the coast line in small hidden patches.
