She was a child like any other back then. She would roll down the hills and play fight against the other children. She would listen to her elder’s stories. She enjoyed coming home to her parents warm embrace. Those times did not last. Her village was invaded by the beastclans, overrun in minutes. She tried to run; tried to escape the chaos. She was caught almost immediately. Her mother sacrificed herself in her place. Her father went down trying to avenge his mate, forgetting his living family in his fury. She survived on her quick wits; hiding in a nearby barrel while the beastclans were distracted by her parents. She saw them both die, inches away from each other. She doesn't remember how long she stayed inside the barrel crying. It was the last time she would ever cry. With the whole village dead, she gathered resources and left. She taught her self how to fight, copying the moves she had been told about in stories. She trained her mind and heart to become as hard as steel; so she would never be hurt like this again. She fought against the weaker beastclans at first, not wanting to die before she had enacted her revenge. They were cut down by her blade as if she was cutting grass. She traveled around, uprooting the fragile beastclans. Little did she know that she had made a name for her in the beastlands. She was lured into a trap, she was surrounded by the most dangerous of all the beasts. She wasn't going down with out a fight. Fighting in sheer willpower, she decimated all involved in the ambush. She didn't leave the site, for as soon as she had won, she collapsed to the ground. She woke up with a telescope in her face. Behind the telescope was a beautiful skydancer. She supposed that death was a beautiful thing if that's what it looked like. Her sight faded to black once again. Kareeva was the one that found her. She was the clan’s matriarch. She tended to all of her wounds, and told her stories like her parents used to do. She was almost like her second mother, it would be hard to leave her behind; but she could do it. When she had fully recovered, Kareeva asks her to stay on as a guard. She was going to say no, to continue down the path of vengeance; when she saw her. The skydancer with the telescope. She was watching them carefully, with a sad smile on her face. She wanted to see a proper smile on her pretty face. Kareeva coughed, bringing her back to reality. Kareeva told her guard shifts would start tomorrow. She guessed her revenge could wait a little longer. Thank you to Raydioactive for this amazing lore!  |

 Hecate strolled the courtyard. She was waiting to find out what position she would be given in the clan, something that would make most anyone nervous, but Hecate isn't most dragons. She doesn't really mind what happens with, well, anything. She stopped mid footstep when she noticed Nimari approaching. Nimari was the only dragon that made her care. Every time she would approach, Hecate would hold her breath for several moments, at least until she realized what she was doing. Hecate snapped out of her admiration and scuffed, adjusting her sword and belt. "Who has time for that, whatever it was. It's I'm betraying to gawk like that, I better not stare at her anymore." She thought to herself. Just then a member of the guard approached. "It's been decided Hecate, you will be a member of the guard. You're to capable and powerful to waste talents on anything else." She followed him to the training grounds and her journey began. -- -- -- It's been several months, Hecate has been promoted several times now. She is still indifferent about her position on the guard, and still hesitant to approach, or even be around Nimari, in fear that her true feelings will show. Hecate will always be strong but her love weakens her, she was always taught to ignore her heart and she would try to continue to do so, but Nimari is making her want to change her heart, if only her mind would let her.
