While all her parents knew was war, all Aomikan ever knew was peace. She was one of the first children to be born and raised within the clan. Amphitrite and Varuna watched over her, Katsura taught her reading and writing, and Lavaridge told her all about the Fire flight and its goddess. She was truly raised by a village, and though she loves her parents, she considers the whole clan something of a parental figure. It makes sense that she would choose to stay with her family, playing in the ash and collecting whatever she might find. Her world is small and peaceful, and her parents try their best to keep it this way.

Other hatchlings brought up in such a way might become haughty or spoiled, Aomikan was never tainted by such emotions, and knew only thankfulness to her family. As she grew, she worked hard to assist the clan in any way she could. She had not the constitution for war, but she was an adept scout and forager, bringing back anything from discarded bones to abandoned eggs. When the weary Pitahaya entered the clan, Aomikan did everything to catch his attention, and the larger Nocturne grew quite smitten. Now the two of them explore the area around the clan in search of useful trinkets, using their small size to stay well out of sight. While her parents are always worried about their only daughter, they let her find her own way in the world, though they will always be there to protect her from all its harsher aspects.

Aomikan and Pitahaya returned to the clan days after the disastrous Battle of Somnus Gap, and what they saw shook them to their very core. All Aomikan had known was peace, so to be face to face with unimaginable bloodshed and death shook the very foundations of her soul. She and Pitahaya stayed with the clan for many months, tending to the wounded and helping to rebuild the clan. Chidagni, her closest friend had perished in the battle, leaving her grieving mother all alone. Aomikan did her best to comfort Samael, but she too was greatly affected by the loss. After the clan had reached some semblance of normalcy, she and Pitahaya set out once again to search, leaving their two children behind. Her eldest daughter, Marigold, stayed within the Ashfall Wastes, heading towards the Great Furnace to help grow plants even among the hottest areas of the Wastes. Her younger son, Lewis, found his calling under the Sea of a Thousand Currents, living among the Effort Clan with his beloved mate, Morse. Often, Pitahaya and Aomikan will take little detours on their travels in order to visit their children, doting on them as if they were still hatchlings.
