Not much can grow in the dark, but the few things that do tend to grow very well when Arianrhod is around. She learned her skills when she lived alone in the Wispwillow Grove, a stationary Snapper tending to the nocturnal mushrooms. It was an unusual sight, and most people who passed through her little nocturnal garden were a bit weirded out, but she was nice enough. Eventually the wanderlust took to her, and she felt the urge to travel more intensely then she had ever before. She set out, leaving behind her little garden to be taken over by the brambles and the night. As the rest of her kind, she travelled without sleep for many days, rambling through wherever there was vegetation and friendly folk.
She made her way through the Shrieking Wilds, through Dragonhome, and through many other lands. Her last stop was the Emberglow Hearth, after that, she though she might be able to settle back down again. She never did get around to getting back to the Tangled Woods, though. Wandering through, she found a clan. A small clan, living in tents and working the earth so hard and so well it couldn't help but begin to thrive. There was such passion, such love, that she felt compelled to lay down her pack and begin gardening again. And so she did. Deep in the volcanic caverns there grows a bounty of mushrooms, tended to by tame moths and loving claws. The caves are tended to mainly by her, but sometimes the other agricultural assistants will come to watch her work. Arianrhod doesn't know when her wanderlust will strike again, but for now she has found a little bit of happiness, and a whole lot of mushrooms.
As the clan has grown, Arianrhod continued to sequester herself within the cave, rarely leaving, except to deliver the harvest. The cave itself has become flush with new occupants, from the clumsy Caldera who she considers a close friend, to the aloof blacksmith duo of Benedict and Kalapana. The newest arrival, Finnick, seems to have taken a shining to her, as he is always hovering around the mushroom cavern. They have an easy companionable silence, and Arianrhod suspects he has a crush on her. She would be lying if she said she didn't like him back. After the bloody Battle of Somnus Gap, much of the clan resides in the cave as the tents are being rebuilt. Arianrhod makes sure they all know which caverns to avoid, and where the safest places to sleep are. Benedict and Kalapana are no more, and the cave feels empty without them. New residents have taken their place, Natsu roosts with her crows in the cave the blacksmith shop used to be, and Samael mourns by herself, deep in the cave. The mushrooms are the only crop that wasn't destroyed in the battle, so the clan will just have to get used to eating a lot of mushroom soup.
