Virik dresses like an aristocrat and acts like a thug, never taking no for an answer and never afraid to threaten a dragon in order to obtain nice things. Her parents never kept an eye on Virik, and when she was left to her own devices, she quickly learned that the easiest way to get what she wanted was to look cute and be ready to flash your claws at the right time. While certainly, what she did was illegal, her victims almost never felt like they were robbed, too blinded by her beauty and upper class appearance. Beauty and brawn can only get you so far in life, though, and eventually her bad deeds caught up to her and she was locked away at the Eeyore Correctional Facility in the Great Furnace. Since her crimes were non-violent in nature, she was given a short sentence, with the condition that she would attend all the rehabilitation programs and that she must be deemed fully rehabilitated after her three years were up. The prison was unbearable hot, and filled with all sorts of unkempt and ugly dragons, so Virik spent all her time working with the prison's therapists and programs in order to get out as soon as possible. After just two years, the prison decided that she was ready to be released, and Virik jumped at the opportunity. There was just one condition. She would have to stay within the Ashfall Wastes so that the prison could continue to monitor her progress.

Filled with disgust for her surroundings, Virik jumped at the opportinuty, even though she wouldn't be able to return home to the Starwood Strand. Still, the heat was too much for her in the Great Furnace, so she flew north, where the weather was cooler. When she finally reached the border, she almost couldn't resist trying to escape the Wastes and head home. Still, she knew that if she were to leave, inevitably she would be captured and forced to spend even more time in that disgusting prison, so she set out to find a clan as close to the border as possible. This is where she found the Clan of Milk and Honey, a Fire clan located in the almost temperate norther region of the Emberglow Hearth. It seemed to be nothing more than a simple farming clan, but without any other choices, Virik introduced herself to the clan. She said nothing of her criminal background, instead claiming to be a travelling warrior who wanted to settle down where the weather was warmer. Of course, the seers knew she was lying, and told Mellona her real past, but still, Mellona let her stay with the clan, never revealing that she knew Virik's true reason for settling within the Ashfall Wastes. She and the other Defenders have begun to bond, and Varuna and her spend many hours reminiscing over the Starfall Isles and the homes they left behind. Bellus knows Virik's criminal record, and remains suspicious of her intentions, but the prison's program seemed to have worked, since Virik has yet to steal anything yet. This isn't to say she is nice, since no amount of therapy could ever get rid of her haughty attitude and violent tendencies, but she is more in control of them now. The only dragon she doesn't tease or insult is Zdravka, the heartbroken Coatl from the Starfall Isles, who despite her condition still tries to help the clan, no matter what.

Recently, Virik has taken a shining to Aow, the Arcane scientists and tinkerer. Aow immediately fell for her advances, leaving his former mate, Wela, heartbroken. It's not like Virik cares, though, after all, she wanted Aow and she got him, Wela would just have to deal with it.
