Leader of the pastel clan Sunshard, Pearl is a wise and dedicated dragon. She leads her clan with kindness and understanding, but she is not afraid to act swiftly and harshly should the need arise. Born to a clan not far from Sunshard, Pearl and her sister Crystal grew up under the loving guidance of their sensible father and firm mother. The two learned quickly that although the world around them may not always be accepting of them whether due to the flight they were born to or their species as dragons, but they would always find a place in the world. They found their place in the clan Sunshard after they had come of age and said goodbye to their parents to find their own adventures. They learned that the clan and many of its members were descended from a dragon long ago who had happened upon the power of a great gem that, when she touched it, merged with her very being to create a dragon full of Light energy with gem fragments growing as part of her. The sisters also learned that they could trace their own lineage back from their birth clan into that of their new home. Pearl soon found her place working at the leader of the clan’s side, and when the leader grew old and wished to retire, she would find herself being promoted to clan leader though it was little surprise to the other members of the clan. It was plain to see how hard she worked and how much she cared for the clan.
