 Always driven by a passion for life, Tourmaline’s career as a healer began when she found a baby bird writhing in pain on the ground having fallen from its nest on a crumbling pillar in the ruins of the Mirrorlight Promenade. She splinted the poor thing’s broken wing and when it had healed, helped the little bird learn to fly. However, despite being healed and free to leave due to the imperial’s loving care, the bird decided to stay with Tourmaline. Now the original little bird spends its time flying about the rosy imperial’s head and directing her to other injured creatures which she gladly helps.

Since that meeting with the bird, Tourmaline has developed a career not only in treating animals but also in dragons. She serves as the healer for the clan Sunshard. The clan finds Tourmaline near irreplaceable because not only is she a skilled healer, but her sweet nature makes even tending to the worst injuries easier (not to mention her small infirmary is always filled with the chirping of birds). The imperial’s practices lean toward natural medicines, but she is always glad to get advice from healers in other clans and she often finds herself at the clan’s Prism contemplating its magic and healing properties.
