» a b o u t « “Keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others.” ― Robert Louis Stevenson Neaera was born into a clan living in the Scarred Wasteland. Ever since she emerged from her egg, she was fawned over due to her unusual beauty that was complemented by her high resistance to the harsh conditions of the clan’s homeland. She remembers her hatchlinghood as a happy one, living and training alongside her nest-siblings and becoming a fierce warrior in the process. But it all changed when one day she realized that not all dragons are treated the same. There was a clear distinction running through the clan itself- those with colours of the red range were given all the opportunities to excel, getting the first pick of food or the spoils of war. Those outside of the red colour range were often left to their own devices and to fend for themselves when the times were tough. Neaera started asking questions about it, but the elders would always dismiss her, stating that she should be proud she was born in the favoured spectrum and not ask questions.Years passed and the inequality in the clan was weighing on Neaera more and more. Seeing that she cannot change the ways of the clan, she made the most important decision in her life- she would leave the clan and start one of her own. She left and travelled as far as she could, but her idea of starting clan of her own proved too difficult for her to execute. After some wandering, she arrived in Ashfall Waste and stumbled into Sgail Lasair clan. They took her in and recognized her substantial fighting skills. It turned out that she is quite skilled in organizing things too, no matter if it was a hunt, a raid or just a new way of food distribution. No wonder that after a while, the dragons started to depend on Neaera and she effectively became the leader of the clan. Today, Neaera is running the clan, always remembering that everybody should be treated equally, no matter what colour or shape. | o[/transparent] |
