Despite having quite a lovely mate, Xandarous still prefers to be alone, both when he is relaxing and when he is working. His beautiful mate fully understands his needs, as strange and antisocial as they may be, and leaves him to his lonesome when it is needed. Due to his quiet nature and his lack of a known background, he appears rather off-putting and ominous to many. That is, until they get him to talk and interact. When he comes out of his shell he is quite a kind dragon. When he is not scouting and patrolling with his two upstarts, he is many times simply wandering his way through the Shrieking Wilds. He has actually earned a bit of a legend for himself due to the plethora of times he's helped lost or confused dragons through the Wilds.
