Biography
Diana: What the-
Natalis: ...
Diana: ...Overseer there's an ethereal-looking coatl right outside of my tower. Did you let one in through the dome?
Natalis: ...I see you got new closets!
Diana: ...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
Before his disappearance, Natalis ate furniture. Yep. That's literally it. That was his defining characteristic. He ate furniture.
Along with many others, I didn't know why Stormtalon lets him stay. When he arrived, he seemed to be an average nocturne hatching. Extremely playful, curious, and has a strong love for food. However, things started to seem a bit fishy when Diana's wardrobe disappeared. Then, her desk. Finally, she caught him chewing on her chair, with bits of wood all around his maw.
This continued on for approximately ten more years. We learned that he could essentially function as a disposable unit. If we wanted any old furniture gone, we just threw it into his room and it would disappear.
Then, one day, he disappeared.
We thought Diana had launched him into the Viridian Labyrinth as she often joked about. However, after insisting that it was not her doing, panic began to grow. No one knew where he went. His best friend, Ihaka, was distraught. It was as if he had simply vanished into thin air...
...until he came back three years later. Natalis returned as a beautiful stonewash coatl, who apparently found an apprenticeship studying magic in the Tourmaline Archives. The glow-up could not have been more surreal. Turns out, he just got filled with wanderlust one day and just walked out on the clan. He joked that he wanted to seek the best-tasting shelves in the land, thus bringing him to the Archives, but whatever the reason, the coatl found his passion, and now, he's back, better than ever. And we couldn't be happier.
On a side note, thank goodness he doesn't eat furniture anymore.
Ihaka: So why did you change into a coatl anyway?
Natalis: ...Furniture is an expensive food choice. Plus, I was getting tired of other foods, and seafood looked interesting. So it was either a Ridgeback or Coatl, and it's harder to snoop around as a Ridgeback. No offense.
Ihaka: HA. You just got to be more creative.
These days, Natalis works with Diana in her mage-tower studying the mystic arts, which Diana could never have foreseen. If a journey into the unknown is all that it takes to turn someone around, maybe some other dragons could use another trip themselves...
Aldari: You can't get rid of me even if you tried BB. <3
