From commission details - incorporate into lore - For Zoan, I imagine him with darker skin and a sort of world-weary/battled-hardened look to him, with maybe a bit of feral-ness as well. He is my random progen, and his backstory is he used to be a Guardian and his charge(s) was his twin daughters. He followed them into service with the Plaguebringer to protect them (I exalted all three of them, lol) and my progen considered his leaving a betrayal and never forgave him. Eventually he got himself turned into a mirror to break his compulsion to guard his charges and returned home, though instead of telling anyone who he is he serves the clan anonymously as penitence.

re: your last message, YES I love the bioshock and last of us plots as well! Zoan felt torn apart when he had to choose between his mate and protecting his daughters, and finally deciding to go after them felt too selfish to bring any relief. He stood by them and over them as they found their feet in the Exalt wars, but they wanted to prove themselves too and eventually came to resent his close guardianship. Finally the twins split up themselves and the decision of which to follow was even more impossible than the first. It was slowly killing him, and finally in desperation he asked Plaguebringer to have mercy on him. She removed his compulsion by turning him into a mirror and finally he was able to let his daughters go.

Oh, Zoan is still very much his old self, personality-wise. He's still torn between love for his mate and the urge to protect and love for his daughters. It's just now his biology isn't driving him insane over it. His daughters want to prove themselves on their own, and now he can let them go, though of course he wishes he could be there for them always whenever they needed him, but life doesn't always work out that way. He has gained some strange traits from his new mirror physiology, such as a soothing feeling when he's in a pack, a shot of endorphins and adrenaline when he's chasing something to ground, and a shorter temper, but these are fairly superficial things which he experiences but which don't overwhelm him.
