Silk Siari is a dragon of refinement and expensive tastes, one would hardly guess he was little more than a glorified butler. Sold to Outfit Vector as a hatchling when his original clan grew desperately short on resources, Siari did not fit in well with the rest of the Outfit's young Anointed. He struggled to succeed as a warrior and failed to graduate from Iryz's training regime time and time again. Soon he was an adult far past the age that young warriors usually went to serve the Plaguebringer and still he was a disappointment on the battlefield. Though she prided herself on being able to train any hatchling, no matter how weak, Iryz finally took pity on him and stopped trying to force him into a role he was obviously ill-suited for. Unsure of what to do with him, Iryz presented him first to Lieutenant Izhu, who had no interest in him, and then to Shiv. Unlike Izhu, Shiv harbored a secret (and hotly denied) affection for sweet-tempered, fragile males, as they reminded her of her vanished mate Zoan, who had abandoned her all those years ago. She decided to take on the young dragon as her personal steward, charging him with keeping her lair in order and taking care of the minutia of a Khatun's duties. Being an accessory to power suited Siari far better than life as a simple foot soldier. He took full advantage of his close association with the Outfit's Khatun, getting early pick of the caravan's trading spoils and partaking of whatever sweets and rich foods Shiv refused. He developed indulgences and bad habits, chief of which was an eventual fixation on sweet leaf, provided by the trader Vexli. But for all his vices, Siari does not neglect his duties. He works hard, striving to serve Khatun Shiv and doing everything in his power to keep her happy. The only area in which he falters in this, and perhaps his only truly dangerous indulgence, is his continued association with Shiv's favorite, Kyvu. Whether Shiv is aware of their continued affair is unclear, but certainly neither of them is eager to test her permissiveness if she is not.
