It's said that his egg was brought forth from the heart of The Great Furnace, hand crafted and blessed by The Flamecaller herself. For many generations, and under the rule of many leaders, Alliance oracles and seers had prophesied the arrival of a great and powerful patriarch. After the death of Adrien, a ruler without an heir, The Alliance was left in chaos for a time, as trade relations crumbled and riots broke out throughout the territory. That was when the strange egg was discovered by a border patroller, and the prophecy began to unfold. The uprisings and discontent were quelled by the presence of a new king. Uri was worshipped as a demigod before he even began to hatch.

As a hatchling, Uri was pampered and spoiled; although personal opinions about him throughout the council and upper echelons of The Alliance varied, no one could deny the age old prophecies, and they all indulged the young prince in his every want and need. Some saw him as a gift from The Flamecaller, proof that she had blessed The Alliance. Some saw him as the future leadership needed to bring them glory and riches. Some saw him as nothing more than a somewhat irritating and bratty figurehead. Some saw him as outright blasphemous, and a sham. No matter the opinion, though, there was not a dragon throughout the territory that dared not treat him with reverence and respect.

Now a fully fledged dragon, and the patriarch of a powerful empire, Uri has continued to live a life of luxury. He spends most of his time surrounded by adoring worshipers or his luckiest consorts, draped in fine silks and looking beautiful. Despite his outward indifference to the political side of his rule, however, he's not stupid; he possesses the ambition, cunning, and ruthlessness needed to be a true leader, and has no intentions of letting his empire fall to pieces underneath him. While he leaves the smaller matters to his council, Uri is fully capable of taking the reigns when need be and leading his clan to greatness.

although he has numerous consorts, he has no mate. the only dragon he has any apparent emotional connection to is his personal guard, Raksa.

his favorite offerings consist of honeysuckle, jewelry, cerdae sparkle, and lanterns.

his familiar is a golden lionsnake named Rigel. he's aggressive towards everyone except Uri and Raksa.
