Son of Leia Organa and Han Solo, it seems that all hope for the return of Ben Solo is gone. It is no secret that he admires Rey, but his hunger for power is greater than his desire to return to the light. Two futures await them. One where Rey stands beside Ren, and one where Ren returns to the Light. Which will be fulfilled?

****Be warned!!! Major Star Wars VIII Spoilers!!! It may not all be perfect but I'm trying to retell it as I remember it so I can make some lore**** you have been warned


Ben Solo, Luke's glory and his everything. The son of Leia and Han Solo. Ben was believed to be the Chosen One, the one to fulfill the prophecy and create balance between Light and Dark and bring peace to the universe. But Luke saw darkness growing in him. One night he felt that he could stop it all before it started. Within seconds, he felt only regret for what he almost did, but all that lay in front of him was a terrified Ben Solo. Ben caused the shack to crumble and when Luke awoke, he found his temple burned, most of his students slaughtered, and a few more missing.
Ashamed of his actions, Luke fled to Ahch-To to die alone, becoming a legend amongst the galaxy.

Rey, a girl from the desert planet of Jakku, goes to Luke, hoping to bring him back so that he can inspire and save the rebels. However, Luke rejected her offer, still ashamed of his past and what happened to Ben, who ran away and succumbed to the Dark side.

While on this island, Rey and Kylo begin to see and speak to each other through the force. At first mad, Rey develops sympathy for him and demands the story from Luke.

Far away, Leia's fleet and the rest of the rebels attempt to flee Snoke. While Kylo attacks, he is unable to shoot at his mother in the Captain's quarters. A spark of light perhaps? Two fighters soon follow through with what he could not do.
However, Leia demonstrates her ability to use the force and saves herself from becoming an ice crystal in space.

While in her temporary home on Ahch-To, Rey once again sees Kylo and she holds her hand out to him. Kylo tenderly reaches out as well and each of them sees a future for the other. Kylo sees where Rey will join by his side and Rey sees Kylo returning to the light. The secomd their hands touch, Luke breaks the moment in fright. An angry Rey turns on Luke, pressing him for the truth and asking if he tried to murder Ben.

Rey sees that Kylo can become good again. She sees the conflict in him and her sympathy grows. She wants to help him.
Leaving the island instantly, she heads to Snoke's ship where Kylo is aboard.

While Kylo takes Rey prisoner up the elevator to Snoke's HQ, they each share what they saw, no anger between them. Only wishful thinking that each would turn so they could be side by side.

Snoke wastes no time in showing Rey his power and the rebel ships rapidly losing. He reveals to them that he bridged the two together because he knew Kylo was conflicted. He uses the force to take her saber and hold her in front of Kylo, expecting Kylo to fulfil his "destiny" and slay her. However, Kylo uses the force to turn Luke-now-Rey's lightsaber and it slices through Supreme Leader Snoke, killing him.

Snoke's loyal fighters then open attack on the two and side by side, they fight. As Rey finishes her battle, she throws her saber to Kylo to save him.

When the battle is over, Kylo tells Rey about her parents and her past, he asks her to let go of it and join him to create something new. Not the republic or the First Ordinance or even light and dark, but to be together and rule the galaxy together.

Rey looks to Kylo wishfully, not wanting him to continue this path to the dark side. She begins to extend her hand, but then tries to take her saber back and the equals end up splitting it. Both falling unconscious, Kylo wakes to General Hux and a missing Rey.

It seems that his fate is sealed as he orders General Hux to follow the surviving rebels to Crait and attack.

A long battle it was before Luke appears and Kylo faces him, unfortunately, it was only a distraction and Luke was only casting himself onto Crait from where he sat on Ahch-To.

The rebels escape, but Rey and Kylo Ren share yet another bridged sight of each other and the door of the Millennium Falcon closes, separating the two.....for now.

The rebels, although small, must find somewhere to go to start anew. They are the spark that will reshape the galaxy and restore the Republic. Rey is the last Jedi.
