Hikari

As the clan minstrel, Hikari spends most of his time practicing his instruments. He will sit for hours writing music and testing what he’s done. He loves to play in a band setting with other dragons but doesn’t get to very often. Since being a minstrel doesn’t really help the clan to survive, he also helps in the kitchen and cleans the lair when not practicing.
Hikari is a personable, friendly dragon. He loves to just have a good time, and parties are his favorite. He was raised by the Kurokage clan and loves all the dragons here. They are his family. He is friends with everyone in the clan, except for maybe Kenshin. He hates to see others sad, and always tries to put a smile on everyone’s face. He is also a bit of a jokester and is always saying something silly, causing the clan to laugh. Although he doesn’t really enjoy fighting like some of his clan mates, he is fairly skilled in that area. He keeps his skills sharp so he can protect those he cares about from harm. His best friend in the clan is a coatl named Yuzu. They spend many hours together with Hikari playing music and Yuzu creating his masterpieces.
Hikari never knew where he came from, and honestly, he doesn’t really care. The Kurokage clan is his family, and he would have it no other way. After he hatched, he was raised by all the dragons together. Each dragon taught him something, and they all shaped him into who he is today. A few months after he was hatched, another young dragon was born into the clan. His name is Yuzu. Hikari took over in helping keep an eye on the young hatchling, and in the process became best friends with the funny Coatl.

One day when he was a young hatchling, he was allowed to go on a trip with Specter, Sapphire, and Couture. He was so excited, and could barely contain his boundless energy. As the group traveled, Hikari absorbed all the new experiences like a sponge. He saw many things that amazed him, but his favorite was seeing a small band of musicians. They played the most wonderful music he had ever heard.

After they got back, Hikari asked everyone in the clan if they knew how to play instruments. Yoram and Loki knew a bit, so they taught him what they knew. It wasn’t enough to satisfy him though. So, he used books and trial by error to teach himself to play music. He has a natural talent for it and picked it up quickly. Once he mastered his harp, he continued on, learning every instrument he could get his hands on.

Along with playing his instruments, he also figured out how to write music, and loves composing the most moving and beautiful pieces. The dragons in the clan know that when he has finished a piece, he must share it with everyone before he can move on with his life.

His best friend Yuzu was born a few months after Hikari. He is an artist and loves the music Hikari plays. He says it inspires him, and as thus, they spend many days together creating their own works of art. They have been best friends since the beginning, finding common ground with each other in the clan of crazy warriors.

He found out he very much enjoys spending time with Loki and Yoram since they also have a great appreciation of the arts. Therefore, he chooses to help them in the kitchen when he is needed. With their guidance, he has become pretty good. He especially loves to bake sweet treats for others to enjoy.
