Phantom

About: For the first few seconds after meeting Phantom you'd simply think he's just a normal dragon. He functions fairly normal both physically and mentally. He does all the normal things one would expect of a living being. Even has all five of his senses working perfect. His thoughts are a little different but that's just because of his personality, which like the rest of him is fairly normal.

The clan doesn't refer to him as their little glitch for nothing though. At any second he could be painfully ripped out of this world and end up in a place that's not really anywhere. Not in this world. Not in this dimension.
One minute he's standing their having a nice conversation with someone about fluffy bunnies and the next he disappears with a blood curdling scream. All that's left is a puddle of blood and some chunks of what appear to be his flesh. It's not long before you hear that familiar scream and there he is again as if he never left. Not a even a scratch on his body and no indication of where the chunks of flesh came from. Sometimes he doesn't even seem to remember it happened.

He wasn't always like this. He used to be normal. His cousin did this to him. The one who was supposed to look after him was a very unusual dragon. Grave was a young dragon himself but a little older than Phantom. Phantom had been extremely interested in his cousin's work since he first found out about it. Grave tried to hide his atrocities from Phantom but Phantom just kept finding ways to sneak peeks at his journal where he kept note of all his experiments. You see Grave was trying to change the genes of living creatures. He left quite a pile of bodies but Phantom didn't seem to care. He asked to be the subject of Grave latest experiment. Making a dragon who's able to travel through time on a whim. He wanted to create a species of dragons who were able to travel through time as naturally as breathing.

But Grave's magic had always been glitchy. And he had to use magic for this experiment. Phantom bugged Grave almost to the point of harassment about being a subject. Even as Phantom grew into a teenager he kept asking. Grave finally gave in and Phantom couldn't have been happier. The first attempt failed. Phantom was unharmed so Grave tried again. And this time he succeeded. Phantom traveled through time but of course, his new abilities still need some tweaking. He couldn't travel at will but it would randomly happen several times throughout the day.

They were both quite excited. Phantom couldn't wait to just travel through time at will. But of course that never happened. Grave's magic almost never fails to glitch horribly and that's exactly how the 'fine tuning' ended up leaving Phantom a glitchy traveler of sorts. He didn't travel through time any longer but was painfully ripped from this dimension entirely. It left him with pink markings and even turned his pearl pink, for a time. It's become fairly normal to him and the clan has sadly grown used to his blood curdling screams.

Phantom doesn't go to a different dimension but instead goes to a place that's in-between dimensions. He explains it as a sort of crossroads for all dimensions. It's dark with bright white glowing lights that never seem to end. The darkness isn't your typical darkness. He describes this darkness as a living, breathing entity that really doesn't like strangers. But Phantom isn't a stranger any longer and the darkness seems to be growing on him as he has grown on it.

Phantom no longer has the pink glow about him. He vanished into the crossroads one day and was gone for several days. When he was spit back into his own dimension his appearance had changed a lot. He now has many dark, mechanical body parts that have a sort of infectious looking glow. He has a very grim aura about him but his personality remains unchanged. It's as if he's always been this way and doesn't seem to know he wasn't. He also claims to be much older than he was when he disappeared and his voice is a lot colder. He has taken to carrying around some alchemy ingredients and using whatever he creates with them to heal the wounded of the clan. The haven't been able to figure out what it is but they trust Phantom. He would never hurt them.

Despite all this Phantom is still himself and the clan his rather glad to have him back.

Phantom disappeared again for several weeks this time. It appears the entity of the crossroads has grown rather fond of him. Phantom w̷i̸l̸l̴i̷n̸g̷l̶y̶ lets the darkness drag him back even though it pains him.
He says its n̸o̸t̸ as scary as the clan the thinks. At least not f̸o̷r̸ ̸h̴i̶m̵ but warns the clan not to touch him. Grave s̶u̷r̶v̴i̴v̴e̶d̴ his encounter with the darkness but it really d̴o̸e̷s̶n̷'̶t̶ ̴l̴i̴k̵e̷ ̶s̶t̸r̸a̷n̶g̸e̴r̵s̷. More so than before. T̸o̷u̸c̵h̷i̸n̶g̴ Phantom would still lead to whoever is touching him being d̵r̷a̴g̴g̸e̵d̶ ̵i̶n̶t̸o̵ ̴t̷h̸e̶ ̸c̶r̸o̶s̸s̴r̸o̶a̶d̴s̸ too.
This darkness is not s̴o̷m̷e̸t̷h̸i̸n̶g̶ ̶t̸h̴a̴t̴ ̵should have ever met a l̴i̷v̵i̶n̸g̶ ̵ḅ̸̱̿͛ȇ̸͖̮i̵̗̙͋n̵̳̼̽̔g̴͕̍̆. It wasn't meant to. Phantom says the l̶a̴w̴s̴ ̷o̸f̷ ̶t̷i̸m̴e̶ ̵̺̾d̵̛̯̙̈́ỏ̶̬̠̈́ ̸͇̖̄ṋ̶̲̀ò̴̡́͜t̶͛͐͜ͅ ̷̧̰̉̊ã̶͇̒p̵̺̦͗̈́p̴͉̑̾ĺ̴̳̻ẙ̶̺̰ to this entity.
