ELITE WARRIOR
KXr10QY.png
----Job Description----
Ragna is one of the five elite warriors of the Kurokage clan, and as such, she is one deadly dragon. Her main duty is to protect the clan at all costs, a job she excels at. She is a strong, brutal fighter, vicious and deadly to her opponents. She has fought countless battles all over the world, and has collected various trophies to prove her excellence in battle.
----Personality----
Ragna is a quick tempered, fierce dragon. She solves problems through fighting, and if there is a threat, she prefers to just eliminate it rather than try to resolve things peacefully. She is outspoken and rowdy, always butting in conversations with her own ideas and solutions. She struggled through school, only succeeding because of her little brother Nuri, who is so much smarter than she. She hates reading, and is almost never seen in the library. She much prefers to spend her free time in the arena practicing her skills. She also enjoys stargazing, a hobby that is special because of many nights doing it with her little brother.
----Background----
The first thing Ragna remembers is cold, snow, and ice. Borning in the Southern Icefield, she was accustomed to the cold from the time she was small. She doesn’t remember much of her parents, for they were always working hard to provide for the small family. When Ragna was still young, the family moved to the Starfall Isles. Ragna didn’t mind the move, because she had few friends anyway. All the other kids saw her as mean and rough, for she didn’t usually play very nice.

A few years later, her little brother Nuri was born. She loved having a little brother, and while their parents worked, she often watched him. Although she played rough with other kids, she was gentle and protective of little Nuri. Life got progressively tougher for the family of four. Their mom fell ill and was unable to continue working. Their father took on the role of sole provider, but work was increasingly harder and harder to find.

Within a few months of each other, both of their parents died. This left Ragna to care for Nuri by herself. In order to survive, she would take on whatever job she could find. This caused her to cross paths with many shady characters. Driven by a will to survive and protect her brother, she learned the hard way how to fight. Soon she became the strongest, making it to the top of the ladder. Nuri often worried about his sister, for she would often come home bruised and bloodied. But she kept them housed and fed, and that is what mattered. When she wasn’t busy working, the two would spend all their time together. Ragna taught Nuri to fight, even though he was not interested in it much. After their nightly training, they would always spend time stargazing together until bed. It quickly became a little tradition.

Soon both dragons were fully grown. Nuri spent all his time in the public library, reading everything he could get his hands on. Ragna however, kept to her bloody lifestyle, continuing to take on any job for a bit of treasure. One day, she met an impressive imperial named Adramelech. They worked together on a simple job. He was quite taken by the strong Ragna. He was quite the opposite of her, being an incredibly gentle and peaceful dragon. He hated fighting, and as they started working together more often, he would leave the fighting to her.

As time went on, the pair became very fond of each other. Even Nuri liked the friendly dragon. After much discussion, the two decided to marry. Not long after, and they had four kids together. They spent all their time raising and training the little hatchlings. Ragna taught them how to fight, while Nuri and Adramelech would teach them all the book knowledge they needed to know. They were happy.

It seemed just a blink of an eye, and the four hatchlings were all grown and had joined different clans, starting their own families. Even Nuri had decided to join a clan called the Royalstar Clan. They were nice, but Ragna resisted joining, despite pleading from Nuri. She had lived this long without a clan’s help, and she didn’t want to join one now. So, it was just her and Adramelech. Thankfully Nuri still lived nearby, so the siblings were able to see each other often.

It was a sad day when Nuri broke the news to his sister that the Royalstar Clan was moving to earth. Her mate had a good job, and was resistant to moving. With great sorrow, the siblings said goodbye, promising to visit each other often.

One day, an enemy clan ran rampant across the town where the pair worked together. Worried about her mate, Ragna jumped into the turmoil, fighting her way to the factory when Adramelech worked. The enemies greatly outnumbered the few fighters, and Ragna flew into a frenzy, slashing and killing everything in her path. That is why it took her a long moment to realize who the last dragon she hit was. Looking back, she saw her mate gasping on the ground, clutching a brutal head wound in his mighty claws. Her mate had never been in a battle before, and in the turmoil and chaos, he had ended up getting in the way of Ragna’s vicious claws. Racing to his side, Ragna held him, watching in horror as his life slipped away before her very eyes.

Disgusted at herself for killing her own mate, Ragna cut everyone she knew off and disappeared. She figured everyone she loved was better off as far away from her as possible, else they meet the same fate as poor Adramelech. She slowly learned how to survive in the wild, but she was not used to such a life and went hungry often. It was hard to live cut off from civilization, and after a year, she was weak from hunger and overexposure. This is when she stumbled upon a crackling fire. Over the fire sat a beautiful and mysterious imperial. Putting her pride aside, Ragna asked if she could share the warmth.

The stranger agreed after seeing the sorry state of the dragon before her. And what a sight she figured she must be. Her armor and jewelry were dirty and rusted, and she was covered in dirt, leaves, and twigs. The stranger was very quiet, but with some respectful prodding from Ragna, she learned her name was Reaper. Reaper turned out to be a very skilled and deadly assassin, and the pair soon began talking of a subject they knew much about- fighting. As the two went to bed, Ragna found she was sad that Reaper would be gone in the morning.

The next morning, Reaper was awake early, packing her few things and putting out the fire before setting off. Ragna awoke and watched quietly as she made ready to leave. Before setting off, Reaper turned and stared at Ragna for a moment before speaking.

“You know, I come from a plague clan. You might like it, and Specter would most likely welcome you to join us. You can come with me if you’d like.”

Ragna was surprised at the sudden invitation, and for a moment just stared as Reaper’s unnerving gaze. What surprised her, even more, was that she actually wanted to follow her new young friend, and see what clan life was all about. But in a sudden flash, she remembered Adramelech and what she did to him.

“I’d love to, but I am not a good dragon. I killed my own mate with my own claws because I got too worked up in a fight. I don’t want the same thing happening to someone in your clan.”

Reaper snorted and chuckled. “That’s what’s holding you back? Well, no need to worry. Most of the dragons in the Kurokage clan can take care of themselves. We’ve got some of the most vicious, brutal, and nasty warriors in all of Sornieth. I think you’ll fit right in. Come on.”

Not giving Ragna a chance to respond, Reaper turn and began walking away. Ragna frantically thought, trying to decide if she should follow her to a new life, or stay here starving in the forest. Finally, she made up her mind and raced to catch up with Reaper.

After a few weeks of walking, the pair finally made it to the Kurokage Clan. Reaper took Ragna inside and gave her a tour. She was amazed at the cavernous rooms. There were massive libraries, storerooms, bedrooms, and even a giant greenhouse in the center, growing every type of plant and animal you could imagine. Her favorite, however, was the fighting arena. As they entered the massive room, the sound of cheers reached her ears. Looking down below, she was two massive imperials sparring. They hit hard, slamming each other around, and seemed to really be fighting. But as she got closer, she saw their faces. They were having a blast. To them, this was merely a game or practice. She suddenly had the itching feeling of wanting to fight. The victor of the fight was decided with the black and red imperial pinning his purple opponent to the ground. As they left the ring, a blue and red guardian entered. He laughed and boldly challenged any who would accept. Without thinking, Ragna quickly spoke up.

Entering the ring, she faced her opponent. He carried himself like a seasoned warrior, and the scars told her he would not be an easy opponent. They fought for what seemed like hours, the blood pounding in her ears, and excitement causing her pulse to quicken. He was indeed a worthy opponent, however, finally, she managed to bring him to the ground. The other dragons went wild, and after a moment, she allowed the guardian to stand to his feet. Breathing hard, he turned to face her.

“Well. well, you were magnificent.” He said, looking her up and down. “Who are you?”

“Thank you. You were no easy opponent yourself. There were many moments I thought I was done for.” Ragna admitted. “I am Ragna.”

“Ragna huh…” he paused. “And how did you get in here?”

Reaper had joined them on the field moments before and now spoke up. “I brought her.” She said shortly.

“You did?” He said, looking surprised. “Usually you don’t associate with other dragons Reap. But I see why you like her.” Turning to Ragna he added. “So, are you wanting to join our clan?”

“I am,” Ragna answered. “I’d like to talk to the leader, Specter and see if that’s okay with him. From what I've seen, I love it here.”

The guardian chuckled. “Well, you have already met Specter, since that’s me.”

Ragna chuckled as well, slightly embarrassed that she had taken down the clan’s leader. “Sooo…”

“Very well! We welcome you Ragna to the Kurokage Clan. We will get you settled in, and by the looks of it, you are in need of a meal.” Turning to the crowd, Specter loudly announced, “Everyone, this here is Ragna. She is now a member of our family, so I’m sure you will do your best to make her feel welcome.”

The other dragons roared their agreement, and Ragna began her new life as one of the family.

Many months had passed, and Ragna found her thoughts turning often to Nuri. He probably thought she was dead, and oh how she wished they could sparr and gaze at the stars once more. She was about ready to go out and find him when a group of dragons visited the Kurokage Clan. They were from an earth clan that, as Ragna had just found out, had a strong alliance and friendship with them. The leaders of both the clans were best friends and visited each other often. To her shock, Nuri was with them! That clan happened to be the Royalstar Clan. She joyously embraced her little brother, tears in her eyes. He hugged her back, surprised and happy to see his sister.

Nuri decided to stay a few weeks, catching up and spending time with his sister before going back to his own clan. They spoke of many things, trained together, and of course, did plenty of stargazing. The siblings were overjoyed that they were once again together, and Ragna promised never to leave her little brother like that again, no matter what.

Thus began a new and joyous time in Ragna’s life. Not only were her and Nuri reunited, but she now had a place to call home, and friends who accepted and loved her, no matter what she did. She finally had a family.
