tumblr_oga4j4lUUj1uw70xko2_100.png The beginning
The little fae hadden't a clue what was happening, and he wasn't sure what to think if it either. He had hatched, then been promptly wisked away out the the familiar darkness to a place with many other new hatchlings. His brothers and sisters were there with him, and many older dragons rushed around inspecting each hatchling and inquiring things about them. The air was thick with the business of the place, and the openness of the place made him feel exposed. There wasn't anywhere to shy away to, or hide from all of the inspecting eyes.
Suddenly, he was scooped up by the hands of a dark guardian. And as he was promptly lifted away he saw other dragons scuffle over his siblings, each trying to get their hands on one of his brothers and sisters. The large hands of the guardian enveloped him in a small cup, and he could feel the large dragon take to the skies. The darkness comforted him, and the business slowly faded as the guardian flew farther from the loud place.

When the dark guardian landed he could feel a warm breeze through his hands, and when he was set down on warm grass a he was able to see the place he had been brought too. He was in a clearing, surrounded by bamboo and in the distance tall cliffs, as well as numerous kites of many different shapes and sizes. There were a couple other dragons in the clearing, and they all seemed to have been waiting for the guardians arrival. Two other dragons landed next to them and they began conversing all but one of the rest of the dragons in the clearing.

The dragon was a grey tundra, and upon closer inspection didn't look like a dragon at all, but rather, a statue. The statue had eyes like his mother and siblings, and once he noticed this it became an anchor. The different surroundings and strange dragons faded out when he looked at them. His tiny wings struggled to get him off the ground, but he managed to perform a short flight to the statue's head, so he could be closer to it's eyes. It was strange. The stone of the statue's head felt warm, not as if it had been heated by the sun but as if by some internal heat.

He curled up on the statue's nose, and watched the other dragons interactions. Soon they dispersed, the dragons that had come after he arrived followed the dragons that had been waiting one way, and the guardian went another. Eventually, he dosed off.

Log, Day 2-3
He woke up to stars and the sound of bamboo clacking against each other. As well as a slow shuffling sound, and the feeling of movement. He jerked up and looked around, focusing on the eyes of the statue. They blinked. He jerked up on his feet, sure that he had just imagined the movement of the stone face. The eyes didn't blink again, but, the rest of the statue did, and he was soon aware of the slow lumbering movement of the statue's steps.

The statue was slowly making its way across the clearing, and he was on its nose as it did so. Before he could do anything he heard a voice, it spoke slowly and had a grinding but soft tone, "Hello, Askorell". The statue had spoken to him, and, given him a name.

He stayed in the clearing with the statue that had given him a name for a time. And soon noticed a pattern, as the dark guardian often brought dragons back to this small space. But, they often soon left. Older dragons would follow a large female ridgeback and a red fiery mirror, and hatchlings much like himself would stay with the guardian and continue to some unknown destination.

Log, Day 134

Askorell had learned shortly after his arrival that he was not destined to be sent to serve the deitys. Rather, that he had been accepted into this wind clan through the authority of the dragon he now knew as "Gargolye." He had become friends with this dragon, and often spent his time with them. Usually just observing the activities of the clan or slowly wandering the jagged paths around the edges of the clan's territory. He grew up fast, in the physical sense, but was still learning about his new home every day.

Askorell had learned that the dark guardian that has wisked him away to the clan was one of the leaders, Zike, and that he lead with a lighter guardian Typera. He had found that most of the dragons in this clan were incredibly friendly, with a few unexpected exceptions.

He had also found that many dragons in the clan could practice magic of their element, intrigued by this he attempted to try some of his own. Without a teacher he hasn't gotten far, but has succeeded in completing simple demenstrations of his magic, such as making an item float briefly or darkening the shadows around him temporarily. Askorell still has much to learn.
