A tropical island with trees tied so tightly together barely any light could break through to reach the undergrowth, fruits hung of the trees serving everyone a treat if they were brave enough to climb up the thin, tall trees. Bright green leaves scattered the ground, water was never in short supply. A small town was built and it grew until it had almost engulfed the entire north side of the island. Forests were cleared out to make room for farms, caves were explored and the resources taken. In the town a queen or king would lead us passing down a staff, once a monarch passed the staff would be bequeathed to whoever the clan deemed to be a good leader. When a new leader was chosen there was a celebration called Island day. The original clan was strong, but little did we know one day while celebrating island day that Stormcatcher and Tidelords rage would be taken out on lionclan. The celebrations started, music playing in the center the town while dragons danced and laughed. The town painted in lanterns and flags, while shops lined the streets and the smell of freshly cooked food lured people into the food halls. It was warm, the mood joyful and bright, but the joy was interrupted by a small quake, to which everyone ignored, although slightly uneasy, small quakes were normal. Thunder cracked through the sky splitting it in two halves, a loud thunder shook the land and after a while rain started to flood the island, a panic suddenly breaking out when a large earthquake began shaking the island with small tsunamis adding to the chaos. Everyone ran, but it was only few who escaped.
Twenty boats left, with only four that survived. The remaining island dwellers had found themselves in the ashfall wastes, the extreme heat and ash taking most of them by surprise.
Lionclan found a mountain with a plateau, at the base of that plateau there were caves of which the clan took shelter in, focusing on rebuilding the once beautiful community that was there clan. Many dragons left and moved on to live in another clan, a loyal few stayed behind, the last queen died due to stress and a sickness. On her last day she appointed Nightflight as the new leader,
the clan shutting down for a while, starved yet too shaken and sick to hunt. That's when we were found by the Oceano garras clan, they took pity on us,the pathetic and starving clan, and brought us food. Some of their dragons even staying behind to help. Soon our clan started to thrive again, they built our huge cave systems, building homes and competing in completions for dominance.
Years later, the clan was strong, but they were confined to the underground.
Now most of the clan dreamed of living on the surface, and one day a dragon offered to make those dreams come true. He had grown up in the clan, his name was Dú, he was charismatic and persuasive, and had spent many years trying to gain Nightflights trust. One day when he believed he had gained her trust, Dú offered to “expand the clan above ground! And drive out the pesky beastclans”. Nightflight, after considering the offer, allowed his plan to go forwards… to which she regrets that decision. Dú continued to build a small town on the surface, all was fine until nightflight started noticing things. For one thing Dú and the other clan members that were assisting him seemed to always come back injured, and when they were asked about it they just came up with excuses. One day Nightflight chose to pull one of the dragons off to the side and speak with him, he was a mess saying things like “I can't say” and “Dú doesn't allow it”. Nightflight continued to press him until she found out what was happening, the poor kind broke and then explained everything. Turns out Dú had broken one of his promises, he had promised to build peacefully but instead Dú had been destroying smaller surrounding clans, killing anyone who stood in his way. He would threaten his assisting dragons that if they said of anything that was happening above ground to Nightflight that they would never be heard from again.
Nightflight called her army back almost instantly, but only half came back. Dú had sent one of the dragons familiars with a notetied to its neck. “Dear Nightflight, it has appeared you have found out about what has been happening up here. Now I have half of your clan captive, if you want the dragons to live you must give me your life and your clan, meet me tomorrow by the border of the Ashfall Wastes..A.nd if you fail to arrive I will personally kill each and everyone of these clan members myself”. Nightflight was disgusted, he lied and now was destroying her clan. But Dú’s plan was flawed, for he didn't think through what was going to happen, he was too power hungry to.
The day arrived and Nightflight got up. She, unlike Dú, had a plan. She walked through the halls of the caves, worried faces passing her and many dragons wishing her luck.
No one knows what exactly happened, but Nightflight came back. She had a statue of a screeching Dú and the dragons all alive.
Around the time our clan was still healing, we met the Sualidiro Vanguard.
At the time they were only a small clan, but they have become allies and stand alongside Lionclan .
Lionclan is at peace for now…

-mirrors have prehensile tails
-they can also lop off and grow their tails back, like skinks
-they sometimes cut their tails off as a sign of affection towards mates, but this is less common in interspecies relationships
-they are poisonous
-female mirrors are better at flying than males
-they live in complex family structures
-mirrors only have two pupils, one on each side of their face, and they can switch these pupils between eyes in order to see better in infrared or visible light
-mirrors can also see ultraviolet light, which can help them when hunting birds and other animals
-mirror packs can work in different ways; like a wild tribe, a family, a clan, or even a mafia like structure
-A mirror with no family or pack is considered less of a mirror than those that do
-a lot of mirrors are actually very kind, but the overarching stereotypes can make them bitter
-Mirrors are very easy for the beastclans to manipulate, partly due to their bird-like hatchling behavior (first thing it sees it grows attached to) and partly because of the discrimination they recieve from other species
