You approach this dragon with caution. He is unlike any dragon you've ever seen before. The claws on his hind legs look deadly, as do the spines on his back and his unusually long snout. He has a large scar marring his face. He must be a warrior.

"I don't bite," he growls. "If you have questions, just ask. It'll be quicker that way."

You don't see the need to ask if he fights, so instead you ask what he fights.

"Whatever I need to. Whatever Migraine tells me to. Any monsters coming too close for comfort, any dragons that are encroaching into our territory, food, you name, I've attacked it."

He seems resigned about his role in the clan. You wonder if he had a choice in it. You ask if there's anything else he does in the clan.

"I send my hatchlings off to the Icewarden."

Ah, another parent who has their children become soldiers. He must see your expression, and continues.

"We must. We must send our hatchlings off to war. It's the only way to truly be safe."

That makes two dragons who say that sending children to war is a form of protection. How strange.
